Islam and women
Auzubillahi minasshai ta nirrajim.bismillahir rahmanir rahim
Asslamualaikum wa rahmatullah.
I am abidatun noor nabila and today I would like to talk about
islam and women.
What is islam?
Islam means "surrender" and its central idea is a surrendering
to the will of God. Its central article of faith is that "There is no
god but God and Muhammad is his messenger".
In short way.
And The Quran explicitly states that men and women are equal
in the eyes of God.
The Prophet (SAAS) says: 'Women are the (equal) sisters of
men'. Women make up half of society and they are responsible
for the nurturing, guidance and reformation of the subsequent
generations of men and women. It is the female who imbues
principles and faith into the souls of the nation.
Islam elevated women in a time when they were viewed as
inferior to men or simply property.
Prior to Islam, a common practice among some Arab tribes was
female infanticide, where baby girls were buried alive. Among
other tribes, women were inherited like property. But in the
words of Umar ibn al-Khattab, one of the companions of the
Prophet Muhammad .
“In the pre-Islamic period, we used to have no regard for
women whatsoever. But when Islam came and Allah made
mention of them, this caused us to realize that they have rights
upon us.”
good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which
Allah hath guarded.
There are four women of jannah .
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,
“The best of women among the people of Paradise are Khadija
bint Khuwaylid, Fatimah bint Muhammad, Maryam bint 'Imran,
and 'Asiyah bint Muzahim.
The Qur’an teaches us that Adam and Eve were created from
the same soul; both equally guilty, equally responsible and
equally valued. As Muslims, we believe that all human beings
are born in a pure state – men and women – and that we must
strive to preserve this purity through faith, as well as good
intentions and deeds.
So we can say women are also very impotant for islam.
In Islam a woman is a completely independent personality. She
can make any contract or bequest in her own name. She is
entitled to inherit in her position as mother, as wife, as sister
and as daughter.
Men and women are both equally responsible for reproduction
and continuance of the human race.
The Holy Quran states:
“O Humans! Surely, I have created you as males and females
and have made you into [diverse] races and tribes that you may
know one another. Verily, the most noble among you before
Allah is the most pious of you. Truly, Allah is All-knowing, All-
aware.
The Quran identifies faith in God, edification [tahdhib] and
purification of the soul of all evils [tazkiyah], piety, and
performing good deeds as the only path to human salvation. In
this context, it does not differentiate between women and
men. In fact, it regards both equally worthy of spiritual
advancement, perfection, and proximity to God [qurb ila allah].
God, the Sublime, has stated in the Quran:
“Whosoever performs a good deed, whether man or woman,
while having faith in Allah, We shall assuredly restore them
with a good and pure life and We shall recompense them with
rewards according to the best of what they have done.
Allah also declares:
“Therefore their Lord granted their prayers. Verily, I shall not
suffer the work of any agent among you to be lost, whether
man or woman; you are all members of the same race.”
God most high states in the Quran:
“And male and female believers are protecting friends of each
other; they enjoin righteousness and forbid evil, they
perform salat. and pay their alms-tax, they obey Allah and His
Messenger. Upon these, Allah shall have mercy. Truly, Allah is
Almighty, All-wise.”
Womens are very important for islam.thus they are women
who does the deadliest sins.
I would recommend my sister, mother and aunts to have faith in
islami and the almighty god and stay in the right path.
Thank you for listening me long. I hope and pray that todays
topic would help you to be a good muslim in future.
That is it from me .assalamualaikum.
