The terms and conditions in respect of the provisional admission are enclosed herewith. Applicant selected through
GATE Mode of Entry (MoE) should complete the online admission formalities by logging on to COAP portal

Upon acceptance of this offer on the COAP portal (for GATE applicants), please complete the admission formalities by
logging into the IISc Applicant's Portal and remitting the Admission Fees from May 27 to June 15, 2025.

Guidelines for admission and other Pre-enrolment Requirements
NOTE: This is a computer generated Offer Letter and requires no signature.
Terms and conditions:
1. This offer is extended based on the information provided by you in the online application form.
2. The offer is contingent upon you possessing the prescribed educational qualifications and GATE/ CEED score as
indicated in your application. You must meet all eligibility criteria outlined in the online admission information brochure
for 2025.
3. Applicant who got selected through GATE must accept and freeze offer on COAP 2025 portal before making
admission fee payment on IISc admission portal. Only those who accept and freeze the offer on COAP will be eligible
for admission at IISc.
4. After acceptance on the COAP portal, log in to the Applicant's Interface at the IISc admission portal to remit the
Admission Fee of Rs.32700 (Rupees Thirty Two Thousand Seven Hundred only) through online
payment(Credit/Debit Card/ UPI payment) or Net banking.
5. Applicants selected through EWS and OBC-NCL category must ensure that they are in possession of valid category
certificate issued on or after April 01, 2025.
6. If you have completed degree formalities but await marks card/degree certificate, you may upload a Course
Completion Certificate (CCC) by July 20, 2025. The final degree certificate/ provisional degree certificate must be
provided by October 31, 2025, for the admission to be considered as confirmed until then the admission will be
provisional.
7. Hostel accommodation/mess facilities will be available on payment of monthly charges. Hostel accommodation will be
provided on the day of document verification, subject to availability.
8. You will receive a monthly scholarship, with an agreement not to discontinue the course midway. If for any reason you
discontinue the courses midway, you must refund the entire scholarship amount paid to you before leaving the Institute.

9. Adherence to the Institute's Rules and Regulations is mandatory.
10. Legal matters, if any, fall under the jurisdiction of courts in the city of Bengaluru.
11. DO NOT MAKE A SECOND PAYMENT- If you have a transaction ID for having made your payment and amount
deducted from our account, just check the application status on applicant’s dashboard after 48hours. The status should
have changed to ‘Admission Fee Received’. In case you do not see this status after 48 hours, you may send an email
[email protected] giving details including name, application number, programme, department, and payment
transaction ID.
12. In case you cannot join the Institute after acceptance and payment and want to withdraw the admission, please
update your status online by clicking "Withdraw Admission" before July 04, 2025. Applicable amount will be refunded
per Institute norms within sixty days.
13. You must report to the Faculty Hall of the Institute on July 21, 2025, along with the documents and certificates as
detailed under item-I of "Guidelines for admission and other pre-enrolment requirements".
14. Please note that your admission will remain provisional until you report in-person to the Institute and your original
documents are verified.
15. Classes for the M.Des programs commence from August 01, 2025.
Guidelines for admission and other Pre-enrolment Requirements
I. ONLINE DOCUMENT UPLOADING
1. After completing the admission fee payment, please scan and upload the following documents by clicking on the
"Click here to Upload Certificates" option at the Admission portal on or before July 04, 2025.
a. Matriculation/SSLC Certificate in the original for the verification of the date of birth.
b. Marks sheet for all examinations from SSLC/Matriculation onwards.
c. Degree/Provisional Degree certificate of the qualifying examination.
d. GATE/ CAT/GMAT Score (as applicable).
e. If you belong to the SC/ST category, produce the original Certificate issued by the competent authority.
f. If you belong to Person with Disability (PwD)/ Kashmiri Migrant (KM)/ Kashmiri Pandit (KP), provide the valid
original Certificate issued by the competent authority.
g. If you belong to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), you must produce the valid EWS Certificate issued on
or after April 01, 2025, by the competent authority.
h. If you belong to OBC non-creamy layer (as listed in the Central list), you must produce the valid OBC (NCL)
certificate issued on or after April 01, 2025, by the competent authority.
i. The declarations/undertakings by the student/parents.
2. If you have completed all the formalities for the award of a degree but are yet to receive the marks cards/degree
certificate of your qualifying examination, you are allowed to submit a Course Completion Certificate (CCC) issued by
the Registrar/Controller of examination mentioning the last date of the exam for the applicant’s Course on or before July
20, 2025, on the admission portal.
3. If you are employed in a government,quasi-government, or government-aided institution, or a similar institution in
public/private undertaking, etc., you must upload a 'Relieving Certificate' from your employer latest by July 20, 2025.
4. Please note that in some forms, there is a column to fill "S.R. No." (Student Registration Number), please leave it
blank while uploading these documents.
5. Once you upload the documents, you will be able to print a temporary ID Card and Admission Proforma, which will
contain the SR Number. Save these two documents,as they will not be regenerated, and it's essential to take a printout
for use during the physical verification of your records.
6. The document uploading can be done in multiple steps, enabling the re-upload of documents before the document
verification date. Therefore, if you currently lack certain documents, please upload available documents and
subsequently upload the missing documents before the scheduled document verification date.
7. You may complete the UGC online Anti-ragging affidavit by accessing the provided link:

II. MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS
(a) The Medical Examination Form has to be filled and signed by a Registered Medical Practitioner (Govt/ Pvt).
(b) The medical examination will not be done at the IISc Health Centre, and the cost incurred for the medical
examination will not be reimbursed.
(c) It is mandatory for the applicant to present the completed Medical Examination Form to the CMO (Chief Medical
Officer) of the Institute.
(d) The date of reporting to the IISc Health Centre will be shared shortly after the document verification.
(e)Your admission is subject to your being declared physically fit by the Medical Officer for undertaking the course.
III. BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS/ EDUCATIONAL LOAN:
(a) Following the document upload, it is mandatory to provide your bank account details (limited to SBI or CANARA
Bank accounts) by selecting "Update Bank Account Number" on the Applicant’s interface.
(b) If you do not currently possess an account, you must open a Savings Bank account in your name, specifically in
either CANARA BANK or State Bank of India. It is also possible to open a bank account in the Campus branch of SBI
and CANARA Bank after gaining admission to the Institute.
(c) Please note that IISc has coordinated with the Canara Bank, IISc Campus Branch, to facilitate educational loans for
those joining the Institute, should the need arise.
IV. UPDATE NAME, EMERGENCY CONTACT AND DEMOGRAPHIC DETAILS: You may update Name, Emergency
contact, ABC ID and Demographic details on the applicant dashboard of the admission portal on or before July 04,
2025.
V. DOCUMENT VERIFICATION AND REPORTING TO INSTITUTE: You must report to the Faculty Hall of the Institute
on July 21, 2025along with the documents and certificates as detailed under item-I of "Guidelines for admission and
other Pre-enrolment Requirements" along with Temporary ID card, Admission proforma, Application form and Offer
letter. Please note that your admission will remain provisional until you report in-person to the Institute and your original
documents are verified.
VI. HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION:
(a) (a) The breakup of the hostel fees is as follows:
