Partners in Hope (PIH) is a faith-based Malawian Non-Governmental organization that was established in 2004
to offer equitable health services and founded on robust commitment to support National HIV and AIDS
response in Malawi. PIH has a medical center that operates a general outpatient clinic; inpatient wards; as well
as a public HIV- focused Moyo Outpatient Centre of Excellence. PIH is incorporated under the provisions of
Trustees Incorporation Act, 1962, in Malawi. With a Program Award under Cooperative Agreement No:
72061221CA00010 “Client-Oriented Response for HIV Epidemic Control (CORE -1) Activity Component
One (1)” by the United States of America PEPFAR through USAID, PIH supports HIV Care and Treatment
implementation in 123 Ministry of Health, CHAM and Private health facilities in 9 districts across Malawi
(Mulanje, Chikwawa, Lilongwe Nsanje, Dowa, Kasungu, Nkhotakota, Karonga, and Chitipa. Under the CORE
1 Cooperative Agreement, PIH is seeking to recruit highly motivated individuals to be deployed in various
districts across Malawi in the following positions:
Position Summary
The M&E Specialist (Analytics & Visualizations) will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of
program M&E activities. He/she will also be responsible in developing and maintaining program
Management Information Systems (MIS), data colllection and analysis of different data in relation to the
Program activities.
Primary Responsibilities
a. Supporting the development of the M&E system in line with donor and Ministry of Health
requirements and needs of the Program,
b. Elaborating piloting and validating quantitative and qualitative monitoring tools as well as design the
corresponding data collection procedures and leading efforts in reviewing existing evaluation
approach
c. Promoting more rigorous and impact-oriented evaluation design and use of evaluation results
d. Coordinate application of monitoring tools to track program performance in line with the M&E Plan
e. Lead the collection, synthesis and analysis of quantitative data as well as qualitative data on all
program inputs, outputs and outcomes
f. Compile and publish quantitative and qualitative monitoring results in visually attractive monitoring
reports for internal and external audiences
g. Provide guidance to District M&E Officers on key M&E activities including data collection and
analysis, and to ensure timely completion of these activities
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s Degree qualification in a relevant discipline including public health, development studies,
demography, international relations, business management, sociology, public administration, or social
science fields is required. Those with Master’s degree will have an added advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in PEPFAR/USAID funded programs
Primary Responsibilities
• Lead in evaluating current data systems and proposing improvements.
• Collaborate with M&E Specialist (Analytics and Visualization) and other M&E
Specialists/Managers.
• Develop and implement data quality standards and processes in alignment with program
and donor expectations
• Build the capacity of clinical & M&E staff on modern RDQA approaches and CQI
methods including optimizing performance and quality and other relevant CQI
approaches.
• Provide technical oversight to District M&E Officers and clinical teams on data quality
checks, validations and CQI M&E activities
• Document and share field visit reports with M&E Director and other programs staff
Qualifications
• At least Bachelor’s Degree or higher in strategic information, Monitoring and
Evaluation, Clinical Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, or other related fields . Those
with a Master’s degree will have an added advantage
• At least 5 years of experience in PEPFAR/USAID funded programs
care as part of the Welcome back approach, ensuring all recipients of care due for VL monitoring have samples
collected, performing routine nursing procedures and referring recipients of care to Clinicians when necessary.
The Nurse will work directly with HIV Diagnostic Assistants (HDAs), Psychosocial Counsellor and Treatment
Supporters to ensure recipients of care are linked, retained and referred to other required services. S/he is also
be responsible for liaising and working with community partners and representing PIH during meetings and
functions.
Primary Responsibilities
a. Ensure that the facility is providing optimized ART regimens in line with MoH guidelines
b. Ensure that HIV and TB is provided as one stop care
c. Manage VL monitoring including HVL follow up and switching for those with confirmed failure
d. Provide Enhanced Adherence Counselling (EAC) and ensure complete documentation on the
monitoring tools
e. Work with facility staff to enroll recipients of care in DSD models that are available at the facility and
community
f. Work with facility staff to ensure preventive services such as PrEP are available at the facility and
recipients of care are offered, enrolled and managed accordingly.
g. Provide technical support on the implementation of back to care program to facility-based staff
h. Work directly with Client Support Services (CSS) and psychosocial counsellors in the provision of
psychosocial support to recipients of care both at facility and community level.
i. Work with the MOH team and other implementing partners to implement a robust mentorship
program
j. Provide quality cervical cancer screening and provide treatment services to pre-cancer recipients of
care with available treatment options e.g. Cryotherapy
Qualifications
• Minimum of a Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery those with a BSc in Nursing have an
added advantage
• Certified ART and Cervical Cancer provider
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in community health issues particularly HIVand
AIDS.
• Demonstrated technical skills in HIVand AIDS care, treatment and support

6. M&E OFFICER (8 POSITIONS)
g. Monitor implementation of M&E protocols on data privacy, data security, and backups in the context
of data management.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related/relevant field.
• Knowledge of M&E analytical and reporting tools i.e. Power Bi, Tableau, STATA, SPSS, Excel,
SurveyCTO, ODK
• At least 5 years of experience in PEPFAR/USAID funded programs
Primary Responsibilities
a. Support and facilitate provision of health talks in designated areas (HF) to create demand for HIV
testing, viral load uptake, Cervical cancers, TB screening and other services.
b. Collaborate and support HTS providers at facility and community level in provision of index case
testing and HIV self-testing
c. Support recipients of care with referrals, to HIV testing services, ART clinic and reproductive health
services within the health facilities
d. Form part of the district mentorship team and assist in ensuring both MOH and PIH providers develop
the capacity to provide Psychosocial support to recipients of care
e. Work in liaison with the DPO/DPC to conduct CPD lectures/sessions on provision of robust
Psychosocial support, as part of mentorship
f. While working with the PIH and MOH lead, oversee Treatment Supporters and ensure coordinated
scheduling of activities
Qualifications:
• A Diploma in psychosocial counselling or Social Work from a recognized institution.
• Certified HIV testing services providers and those with experience in working with adolescent and
children living with HIV will have an added advantage.
a. Support the development of monthly and quarterly HTS work plans in liaison with facility lead and
HTS Technical team.
b. Support conducting of HTS needs assessments and provide guidance to HTS providers
c. Plan in collaboration with the District HTS Coordinator and District Environmental Health Officer
(DEHO) on joint mentoring, supervision, trainings, Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Control
(QC) activities- This should be planned with District supervision team.
d. Provide guidance on performance objectives and professional development, including managing
time away from a post for training
e. Organize regular meetings to share experiences, discuss challenges, identify solutions to barriers to
testing and motivate HDAs
f. Work with the MOH District HTS Coordinator to track HIV commodity use
Qualifications
• Certified HTS Counsellor - holding certificate with successful completion of skills intensive training
• Those with a Diploma in biomedical sciences or other health related qualification will have an added
advantage
• Training in, and extensive experience with, ScanForm methodology
• Certified HIV Testing and Counseling provider by MoH including skills intensive Training and
three test algorithm
Position Summary: The Finance Officer provides direct assistance to the grants Finance Team to help ensure
the highest levels of detail and accuracy in all financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
• File all payrolls and copies of Timesheet and other supporting documentation monthly.
• Assisting the Payroll & VAT Accountant in responding to payroll queries monthly.
• Prepare Payroll Third Parties Schedules for payment
• Ensure that all payroll third party payments are done timely and accurately.
• Work closely with the Payroll & VAT Accountant for each Grant to obtain the VAT reimbursement
amounts as requested from MRA.
• Assist the Payroll &VAT Accountant in collecting VAT summary for each project and reconcile with
original documentation.
• Assist the Payroll & VAT Accountant in processing the ST11A summary sheet and submit to MRA
for review and to USAID for cover letter approval then submit the final ST11A.
• Assist in filling all reimbursements requests and supporting documentation according to each project.
• Copy, file and manage paperwork in a highly organized manner
• Assist with other job duties for all grants as requested.
Required qualifications
Position Summary: The Finance Assistant provides direct assistance to the grants Finance Team to help
ensure the highest levels of detail and accuracy in all financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in data capturing in QuickBooks
• Copying, filing and managing all paperwork in the Finance Unit in a highly organized manner.
• Follow up on payments which are due for Liquidation and make sure all correct documentation is
provided for every expense (invoices, receipts, and any other supporting documents as required).
• Scanning payment vouchers and supporting documentation as required.
• Review documentation for liquidations prior to submission to donors. Each voucher and supporting
documentation will need to be checked to ensure the amounts add up to the numbers in the liquidation
report provided.
• Work closely with external teams to ensure all requests and payments are processed in a timely
manner.

• Provide the programs teams with the necessary funds, budgets and check list indicating what
documents are required from the training to support the expenses incurred.
• To ensure that all supporting documents are received for all expenses paid no later than 30 days after
payment.
• Make cash deposits as needed.
• Filing of completed Payment Vouchers into the proper filling system and updating file folders as
required.
• Oversee processing payments for various programs in the field.
• Follow up with the team after the activity is completed to ensure all expenses are documented and all
required supporting documents are provided.
• Provide a budget verses actual report at the end of each training / meeting.
• Support yearly audits.
• Be available for any other job assignment that may be necessary to assist the Finance Team.
Required qualifications
Position Summary: The Driver is responsible for safe driving of vehicles in various locations where Partners
in Hope is implementing HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment programs under the USAID Funded CORE Project.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Drive carefully at all times to ensure safety of passengers, other road users and the assigned vehicle.
• Keep accurate records of all trips in the vehicle logbooks and submitting a month end summary of
vehicle usage to the supervisor.
• Develop and follow approved maintenance schedule for the assigned PIH vehicles
• Return vehicles to designated secured compound after completion of daily tasks and not later than 18
hrs. unless permitted by the supervisor.
• Ensure that seat belts are always used while driving by both you and passengers.
• Ensure that vehicles are clean and tidy at all times
• Follow all applicable Vehicle use and Traffic laws
• Report any accidents, faults, incidents or injuries involving the vehicle or its passengers to the
supervisor immediately
• Ensure adequate and consistent fueling of vehicles and keeping of receipts and other records as
required

• Assist the Procurement, Stores and related personnel with the collection and delivery of supplies where
necessary
• Avoid divulging confidential information discussed by staff members during the trip to other
stakeholders without consent from the trip supervisor

Required qualifications
12 IT Manager (1)
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the IT Manager is responsible for the overall planning, organizing,
and execution of all IT functions at Partners In Hope. Oversee computer systems at all PIH sites and
manage its overall operations, design, installation, modification and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership in Software development and system programming
• Oversee all IT hardware, software and network installations and infrastructure and Lead maintenance
and upgrading of the internet system.
• Analyze information systems needs of PIH and determine immediate and long-term resources
requirements
• Develop IT requirement, Budgets and schedules for Information Technology projects
• Ensure all hardware and software integrity through development, identification and use of
strict licensing compliance, security and systems architecture guidelines and documentation.
• Analyses hardware and software capabilities to meet PIH current and anticipated
requirements and recommends configurations to meet operational demands.
• Maintains up-to-date inventories of all ICT equipment.
• Ensure safety and security of the IT systems and the overall performance of the IT department
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
• Oversee the development, content updates, and performance of the hospital’s website.
• Support digital solutions that enhance program efficiency and reporting.

13 IT Officer (1)
The IT Officer - Network at Partners In Hope (PIH) will be responsible for planning, implementing, and
managing the organization's computer network infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring the efficiency,
security, and reliability of the network, enabling seamless communication and data exchange within PIH and
with partner organizations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure installation, configuration, support and troubleshooting of all Network related issues follows
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
• Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures for network operations
• Planning, Installation, operation, monitoring, and administration of Local Area Networks, Virtual
Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, and Virtual Private Networks
• Performing system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of all hard/software and key
processes of the ICT infrastructure
• Design and implement new network system security measures to improve the existing security
measures
• Provide ICT training to new and existing staff as part of Continuing Professional Development
• Monitor performance of links to ensure the quality of service and that capacity has been provisioned
according to the requested capacity.
• Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including Antivirus, VPN and Intrusion
detection system, and web content filtering.

The Human Resources Officer will support the effective delivery of HR services across the organization.
This includes recruitment, staff onboarding, record management, performance support, and ensuring
compliance with HR policies and labor laws. The role is key to promoting a positive and productive work
