FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS

El Futuro Perfecto Continuo es normalmente usado para predecir lo largo de una


actividad como si estuvieron viendo hacia atrás esa actividad desde algún tiempo final
en el futuro

EL Futuro Perfecto Continuo se refiere a evento o acciones que están en marcha que
continuaran hasta un punto en el futuro. Es usado mas frecuente con expresiones de
tiempo

To make the Future Perfect Continuous, use:

Subject + will have been + “-ing” form of the verb (Present Participle)
I will have been waiting here for three hours by six o’clock. (Yo habré estado
esperando aquí por 3 horas para las 6 in punto)

By 2001 I will have been living in London for sixteen years. (Para el 2001, Yo habré
estado viviendo en London por 16 años)

Un evento que comienza en el futuro y avanza en el futuro

Patron 1: Un evento futuro que avanza en forma de Futuro Perfecto Continuo y que
puede comenzar en el futuro y entonces solo dura por una cantidad de tiempo:

By next November, I will have been working for that company for half a year.(Para el
próximo noviembre, yo habré estado trabajando para esta compañía por medio año)

La cantidad de tiempo en esta oración es “Half a year”. La acción que aun no ha


ocurrido es trabajar para la compañía, y es una acción futura que avanza en el futuro.
Un evento que ha comenzado en el pasado

Patrón 2: Algunas veces el evento puede realmente haber comenzado en el pasado,


como en el caso siguiente:

You will have been studying for six straight months when you take the TOEFL exam.
(Yo habré estado estudiando por seis meses seguidos cuando tome o presente el
examen de TOEFL)

En ese ejemplo tu habras ya comenzado a estudias, pero el acto de estudiar por seis
meses no ha sido completada. Una vez que se haya presentado el examen, la acción
habrá sido completada.
Futuro Perfecto Continuo para mostrar causa

Patrón 3: El Futuro Perfecto Continuo es también es usado para mostrar causa. Esto
significa que algo en el futuro no ha comenzado aun, pero es probablemente la causa
de otra acción que también ocurrirá en el futuro.

We’ll be in heavy debt because we will have been overspending for a month.
(Nosotros tendremos una gran deuda por que nosotros habremos estado gastando
demás por un mes)

Singular Plural Plural


I will (’ll) have been doing We’ll have been doing

He/she/it’ll have been doing They’ll have been doing

By the time I arrive home, I will have been driving for six hours. (Para cuando llegue a
casa, yo habré estado manejando por seis horas)

By this time next month, I’ll have been studying English for a year. (Para esta época
del mes próximo, yo habré estado estudiando Inglés por un año)
Melissa will have been cooking all day long before the wedding cake is ready. (Melissa
habrá estado cocinando todo el día antes que el pastel o torta de bodas este lista)
Negative

Subject + will not (won’t) have been + “-ing” form of the verb (Present Participle)

I won’t ( will not) have been eating vegetables for three years by then. ( Yo no habré
estado comiendo vegetales por 3 años para entonces)

They won’t (will not) have been playing since morning. (Ellos no habrán estado
jugando desde esta mañana)

Questions

Subject + will + [subject] + have been + “-ing” form of the verb (Present Participle)

How long will you have been learning English by the end of this year? (¿Cuánto
tiempo habrás estado aprendiendo Inglés para final del año?)
Will they have been eating cake for 15 minutes by the time you bring them coffee?
(¿Habrán ellos estado comiendo pastel por 15 minutos para el cuando yo les traiga

▪ No, they won´t (will not) have been eating cake for 15 minutos by the time you bring

FORM Future Perfect Continuous with "Be Going To"

Subject + am/is/are + going to have been + “-ing” form of the verb (Present
Participle)

Examples:

▪ You are going to have been waiting for more than two hours when her plane finally
arrives. (Yo habré estado esperando por mas de dos horas cuando su avión finalmente
arribe)
▪ Are you going to have been waiting for more than two hours when her plane finally
arrives? (Habré yo estado comiendo por más de dos de horas cuando su avión
finalmente arribe)
▪ You are not going to have been waiting for more than two hours when her plane
finally arrives.
▪ We’re not going to have been working too long by the time we finish this project.
(No habremos estado trabajando demasiado tiempo, para cuando hayamos
terminado este proyecto)

NOTA: Es imposible usar will o be going to para crear Futuro Perfecto Continuo con
pequeña o ninguna diferencia en el significado.
