SIO-1440 Silicone Waterproofing Agent
Product Overview
SIO-1440 is a high-purity reactive silicone water Waterproofing Agent that forms chemical bonds
with inorganic or organic surfaces through hydrolysis, imparting long-lasting hydrophobicity,
weather resistance, and interfacial enhancement. It is suitable for waterproofing building materials,
modifying rubber composites, powder treatment, and other applications.
Product Performance
1. Easy Formulation & Efficient Penetration
Simply mix 10%–30% SIO-1440 with alcohols or organic solvents to prepare a
high-performance penetrating sealant. The process is simple, adaptable, and highly effective.
2. Exceptional Concrete Protection
Effectively blocks water and water-soluble salts (e.g., chlorides) from penetrating,
preventing steel corrosion, concrete deterioration, and surface weathering, significantly
extending structural lifespan.
Treated concrete retains wear resistance, surface appearance, and other critical physical
properties, ensuring long-term structural stability.
3. Breathable Waterproofing & Efflorescence Reduction
The formed water-repellent layer maintains normal vapor permeability, preventing
blistering or peeling caused by internal moisture accumulation.
SIO-1440’s penetrating formulation effectively reduces efflorescence (white deposits) and
surface staining, keeping concrete clean and aesthetically pleasing.

Product Applications
Waterproofing & Seepage Prevention for Building Materials
Waterproofs cement concrete, natural stone (e.g., marble, granite), and gypsum products.
SIO-1440 penetrates substrate pores, hydrolyzes, and condenses to form a hydrophobic
siloxane network, reducing water absorption by over 80% .
Waterproofing Additive for Cement
Enhances water resistance in high-demand structures such as dams, tunnels, and
underground projects when used as a cement additive.
Rubber Composite Modification
Acts as a dispersant for silica (white carbon black), improving its dispersion in rubber (e.g.,
tires, seals) and reducing agglomeration. When combined with wear-resistant carbon black, it
enhances tear resistance and durability.
Powder Surface Treatment
Improves compatibility of inorganic powders (e.g., TiO₂, silica) in polymers through surface
coating, enhancing composite mechanical properties.
Packaging
Available in 5L, 25L, 200L, and 1000L drums, or customized packaging upon request.
Safety, Handling & Storage
1. Before use, carefully read the latest Product Safety Data Sheet (PSDS), toxicity information,
and proper storage/handling guidelines.
2. Store sealed in a cool, ventilated, dry place, away from light, fire, and moisture. After
opening, reseal tightly to prevent hydrolysis due to moisture ingress.
3. Shelf life: 12 months from production date. Expired products may be used only after
retesting and approval by the buyer.
