Guidelines for Summer Training Project Report

1. The report (based on training and the problem/project studied) prepared by the
student will be known as the Summer Training Project Report.

2. The report should ordinarily be based on primary data. It should reflect an in-
depth study of the micro problem, ordinarily assigned by the organization where
the student undergoes training. Relevant tables and bibliography should support
it.

3. The report will constitute two major parts:

o Part I of the report will include a brief overview of the organization
where the student underwent training. This should deal with a brief history
of the organization, its structure, performance products/services, and
problems faced. This part may contain details of any task given to the
student by the organization be specifying the objective of the task,
expected outcome, the way it is to be performed, how it is done, the actual
outcome, and learning from the task completed.

o Part II of the Report will contain a study of the micro research problem.
It will contain the objectives and scope of the study. Research
methodology, use, importance of the study, analysis of data collected,
conclusions, and recommendations. It will contain relevant charts,
diagrams, and bibliography.

4. The average size of a Report ordinarily will be 100 to 150 typed A4-size pages in
standard font size (12) and double spacing. Two neatly typed and soft-bound
(paperback) copies of the report will be submitted to the Institute.

5. The Report will have three certificates: One by the Head of the Institute,
another by the Faculty guide, and the third one by the Reporting Officer of the
organization where the student has undergone training. These two certificates
should be attached at the beginning of the report.

6. The Summer Training Project Report will carry a total of 150 marks (50 Sessional
+ 100 ESE). The 50 sessional marks would be evaluated by the internal
project guide. The 100 marks ESE comprises the Presentation and Viva Voce
at the ESE that would be evaluated by two examiners (1 external and 1
internal).
