GLORYVILLE WELFARE TEAM
FOLLOW-UP REPORT
Week: 18th May to 24th May 2025
Summary
This week, a total of 9 members were contacted: 3 new member, 4 absent
members, and 2 diaspora members. Out of these, 5 were successfully
reached and expressed appreciation. 4 members were unreachable via call,
but follow-up messages were sent. The welfare team provided
encouragement and shared resources to foster connection and spiritual
support.
1. New Member Follow-up
Sister Suliyat
Suliyat is a Muslim and a relative of Sister Comfort, who invited her to
church. Suliyat does not understand English very well, so she struggled to
follow the message and other parts of the service. We asked her what she
understood from Pastor's teaching, but she said she couldn’t really grasp
much because of the language barrier.
During the session, we spoke with her briefly and shared about God’s love
for mankind and the importance of the gospel for everyone. She listened
politely but expressed that she wasn't ready to receive Jesus Christ at this
time.
We believe it would be helpful if Sister Comfort could minister to her in a
language she understands, likely her native language so that the message of
the gospel can be clearer and more personal to her. This might help her
process the message better and ask questions in a more comfortable setting.
A follow-up message was also sent to her during the week.
"Hello Suliyat, it was lovely having you in church on Sunday. I hope you’re
doing well today. I just wanted to follow up and thank you again for coming
along with Sister Comfort.
I truly believe God loves you deeply and has a purpose for your life. God's
peace and love will continue to surround you. We hope to see you again.
Have a great week."
Mrs Alonge Oluwafunke
She was invited to church by Pastor Emmanuel Olaleye. She expressed her
joy regarding the word of God that was taught and mentioned that she felt
peace in her heart. She also received the gift of the Holy Ghost with the
evidence of speaking in tongues.
Also, the nature of her work will only permit her to attend church alternately.
When we called her during the week, she was glad to hear from us and eager
to come around again. We shared the church link to her where she can
access messages and Livestream.
Sis Ogunlewe Faidat
She is a member of Glow Church International and was invited to church by
Pastor Tim. She told us that she would return to Lagos that very day. Her
number was not going through so we sent a message to her;
"Hello Sis Faidat,
We recognize your presence amongst us on our Sunday Service and we
appreciate it.
We trust that you are remaining Strong in the Lord and we pray for you that
you are established in God's Will for You.
You are blessed!
With Grace,
The Welfare Team,
Gloryville Christian Center,
Ibadan."
