Topic: Features of Destinations and Their Appeal to Different Tourists
Objective:
By the end of this session, students will be able to explain key features of tourist destinations and
evaluate how these features attract different types of tourists (e.g. families, adventure seekers,
cultural tourists, luxury travellers).
Part 1: Group Discussion (20 minutes)
Instructions:
1. In groups of 3–4, choose one destination (your teacher may assign or let you choose a
destination—e.g. Dubai, Bali, New York, Amazon Rainforest, Venice, Swiss Alps).
2. Discuss how the following features apply to that destination and identify which types of
tourists each feature would appeal to.

Instructions:
Choose one destination you discussed or are familiar with.
Write a short report (around 200–250 words) answering the following:

Your report should:
• Identify the destination and its location.
• Describe three features (from the list above) in detail.
• Explain how each feature appeals to different types of tourists (e.g. honeymooners, eco-
tourists, cultural tourists).
• Include any potential challenges or limitations related to those features.
