PERSONAL STATEMENT

The intentional decision to acquire knowledge and experience in any field


demonstrates one’s readiness for excellence and unending desire to impact lives
and the community.
The traditional world of industries and companies have been transformed with the
emergence of new technology and the development of new, faster, cheaper and
more efficient ways of conducting business. The financial services sector is
evolving as FinTech and business data analytics are becoming mainstream global
activities.
According to John McCarthy (1950), Artificial intelligence is one of the emerging
technologies which tries to stimulate human reasoning in AI systems. This has
since become the modern way of doing business as a way of improving efficiency
and cost reduction. Business analytics deals with collecting, analyzing and
interpreting data; identifying trends, patterns and root causes.
One motivating factor for choosing Business Analytics is that I realize that
technology is changing absolutely everything in the world of work and business
and I want to lead and be part of this change.
Another is that, Business Analytics will equip me with the skills and knowledge I
need to understand and analyze market trends, consumer behavior and financial
data and how to make strategic and data driven decisions.
Also,

Business Analytics will help my career in diverse ways as it aligns with my goal of
setting up a fintech and business analytic company. I have come to realize that the
industry is drifting towards data-driven approaches and I want to stay ahead by
gaining expertise in Business Analytics
In my country, Ghana, most companies still rely on the traditional system of doing
business even though technology has advanced to a certain stage and its growing. I
want to set up a business that will be a point of call for companies that are
struggling in terms of making their work effective, eco
The underlying factor for seeking to pursue my Masters degree in Clemson
emanates from the undisputed positive comments from the alumni community and
the current impacts made by graduates across the globe and the well structured
courses and conducive academic environment made available to facilitate teaching
and learning.
I am confident that my demonsatrated drive and ambition to acquire the needed
knowledge and experience to set up my business and assist the people of country
and globally, positions me as an ideal candidate to study at your institution.
