Abstract
This project presents the design and development of a web-based car go
application aimed at addressing modern urban transportation challenges such
as traffic congestion, high commuting costs, and environmental pollution.

Built using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js), the
platform facilitates real-time ride-matching between drivers and passengers
travelling similar routes.

Key features include user authentication, Google Maps API integration for
route planning, secure document verification for drivers, and an integrated
digital payment system supporting UPI and card transactions. Users can
publish or book rides, manage profiles, and interact through a clean and
intuitive UI. An admin panel oversees document verification and monitors user
activity to ensure trust and safety.

Unlike traditional carpooling systems, this application emphasizes

automation, security, and user experience, making ride-sharing more reliable
and efficient. By promoting shared mobility, the system not only reduces
individual travel expenses but also contributes to sustainable urban commuting
by minimizing the number of vehicles on the road.
