Section A is compulsory.
Answer one question from section B and one question from section
C.

specific examples studied in the field.

SECTION A
Questions 1 and 2 are compulsory
1. Study the 1:50,000(UGANDA) map extract of BUDADIRI sheet 54/4, series Y732,
edition 2 U.S.D and answer the questions that follow.
(a) Determine the;
(i) Bearing of Bukiyiti road junction (grid reference 428246) from Budadiri
church (grid reference (479298). (2marks)
(ii) Direction of flow of river Manafwa. (2marks)
(b)Reduce the area south of Northings 24 and east of easting 47 by 50% and draw
a sketch map of the area. On it mark and name;
(i) Bukigai and Bubita ridges
(ii) Three settlement patterns
(iii) All weather road
(iv) Forested area (11marks)
(c) Describe the physical landscape of the area shown on the map extract.
(4marks)
(d)Explain the influence of the physical landscape on the human activities in the
area covered by the map extract. (6marks)
