DSLP Notes

This document confirms that the lightning protection design methodology, specifically the Dr. Razevig Method, complies with IEC 62305-3 standards. It utilizes the Electro-Geometric Model and the rolling sphere method to determine lightning protection zones, adhering strictly to the parameters defined in the standard. The protected volume resulting from this design meets the requirements outlined in Annex A of IEC 62305-3.

DSLP Notes:

 This document serves to justify and confirm that the lightning protection design
methodology adopted—specifically the Dr. Razevig Method—is in compliance with IEC
62305-3: Protection against lightning – Part 3: Physical damage to structures and
life hazard.
 The Dr. Razevig Method is based on the Electro-Geometric Model (EGM), the same
approach used in IEC 62305-3 for determining lightning protection zones (LPZ) using
the rolling sphere method.
 The design strictly uses the rolling sphere radii as per Table 1 of IEC 62305-3.
 This design applies the Dr. Razevig method as an analytical implementation of the
Electro-Geometric Model (EGM), adhering strictly to the rolling sphere parameters
defined in IEC 62305-3. All calculations and protective geometries have been validated
to ensure compliance with IEC requirements for lightning protection zones.
 The resulting protected volume complies with Annex A of IEC 62305-3 (normative
examples of protection zones)
