LEARNING OBJECTIVES

M At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to describe at least 6 classroom objects
correctly.

C At the end of the lesson, some pupils will be able to listen to conversations and number at least
3 pictures correctly.
1. Before class prepare a bag full of classroom objects from previous lesson.
I. PRE-LESSON 2. Pupils take turns to feel inside the bag and guess what's inside.
3. Correct guesses can win points or candies.
1. Review previous lesson by showing flashcards of classroom objects.
2. Pupils look at the pictures and read the words aloud.
3. Distribute worksheets.
4. Give pupils time to look at the pictures first.
5. Play the recording. Pupils listen and number the pictures.(C)
II. LESSON 6. Play the recording again. Check answers with the class.
DEVELOPMENT 7. Read each set of questions and answers for pupils to repeat.
8. Write language pattern on the board.
9. Demonstrate the guessing game with pupils.
10. Guessing game: In groups of four, pupils take turns to ask and answer
questions using the language pattern given. (M)
11. Monitor and help as and when necessary.
12. If time, make new groups for pupils to play the game again.
1. Ask What’s this? and start drawing, e.g. a cat, on the board.
2. Do the drawing slowly for students to guess.
3. Repeat for other words, e.g. classroom and hat.
III. POST LESSON
4. Prompt pupils to guess by asking, e.g. Is it a book?
5. Extension activity:
Pupils look at the pictures and match the questions to the responses.
