1.2 485 Cable Wiring
Only company authorized personnel should install and connect the equipment.
For details, see Sigen inverter Home Installation Guide - Three-phase System A1.
Below is the wiring diagram for Modbus RTU mode connecting to a Modbus
controller using RS485.
The RS485 cable from Sigen inverter, has three wires, among which
“RS485 signal 1_A+” should be connected to the A+ port of the Modbus controller
device, “RS485 signal 1_B- ” should be connected to the B- port of the Modbus
controller device and the “PE signal shielding ground” line should be connected
to the GND port.

Chapter 2 System Operation
2.1 mySigen App Download
The App can be downloaded in the following two ways. For details, see mySigen
App User Manual.
2.2 mySigen App Setting for Modbus TCP
!!!Recommended to use!!!
1. Setting Modbus TCP server enable

2. Setting Modbus Slave Addresses
In case of controlling multiple Sigen inverters, remember to assign a different
Modbus Slave address for every Sigen inverter. Slave address ranges from 1- 246.
Sigen Inverter number 1 setting page: Sigen Inverter number 8 setting page:
Specifically, in a Sigenergy power plant, to inquire information or control an
individual Sigen device, Modbus frames should be sent to the corresponding
devices’ Modbus slave addresses, which must be set to a unique value within a
Sigenergy power plant in Sigen App. To inquire plant information or control
plant behavior, Modbus frames should be sent to Modbus slave address 247,
namely “plant address”.
3. Checking IP address and Setting consistent IP
In some scenarios, the installer also needs to put the Sigen inverter's IP into a
third-party EMS controller. To obtain the Sigen inverter’s IP information, go to
“Sigen inverter Setting” page, click Connectivity, then select Ehternet. The IP
address will be displayed as shown below. It is also recommended to turn off

Obtain IP address automatically so that the Sigen inverter's IP address remains
consistent and doesn't change over time.
4. Setting System Remote EMS enable
This step is mandatory if host wish to perform Remote EMS control.
In System panel, click on behind the station name , and then click on
System Settings. In the System Settings panel, change the Operating mode to
Remote EMS Mode. Remember to click the Save button on the right corner.

2.3 mySigen App Setting for Modbus RTU
1. Setting Modbus Slave Addresses
In case of controlling multiple Sigen inverters, remember to assign a different
Modbus Slave address for every Sigen inverter. Slave address ranges from 1- 246.
2. Checking RS485-1 Port mode
In the app, confirm that the RS485-1 port mode of the Sigen inverter connected to
the third-party EMS Controller is set to "Modbus RTU Slave" (corresponding to the
interfaces labeled RS485A1-1 and RS485B1-1). Is as shown in the picture below:

Modbus user guide
If the RS485A1-1, RS485B1-1, RS485A1-2, or RS485B1-2 interfaces have been used to
connect to devices such as "heat pumps" etc, this Sigen inverter thus does not
support connecting to a third-party EMS Controller. Please use another Sigen
inverter (if you have more than one Sigen inverter) to connect to the third-party
EMS Controller.
