Modern political campaigns, according to the political science community, are known to not be the
only external influence on both public opinion and candidate support during presidential elections in
the United States. Whether campaigns hold a significant impact on election outcomes or if they
influence public opinion is a debate that continues. Political scientists are currently challenged,
when it comes to campaigns, with the ability to measure their type and the spectrum of their
influence on society. The universal consensus held today acknowledges that at least a correlation
exists between campaigns and public opinion and is supported by historical trends and a political
process composed of liberal democratic values. A campaign s specific impact on the political
process, separate from external variables, is a relationship that has been extensively researched by

Basically, the premise is the model will simulate a hypothetical spill and model the river and
downstream, of the spill. The program is called the Contaminant Model for Streams (CMS), it has
been developed by the U.S Army Corps of Engineers and has been used to model similar events on
small streams. In this model I will be evaluating the potential impact from a hypothetical spill from
the development of an agricultural chemical reductions and storage facility. When I ran the CMS
program I had to find hydraulic parameters which included stream width and depth. In order to
make sure my data was accurate, I used information from the USGS website that asses the various
levels of water in the East branch DuPage River from October 2015 November 2016. I wanted to
create a model for the following: when the East Branch DuPage River was at its lowest level (low
model), when the river was at its highest level perhaps due flooding (high model), and average
water levels throughout the year (mean model). To accomplish this task, as stated earlier I has to
find stream width and depth. In order to find these two I had to use two equations: Discharge=
(Area)(velocity) and Area= (Depth)(Width). Given by the USGS website, the Average Discharge
was equal to 51ft^3/s and the average velocity was equal to 0.09 ft^3/s. I plugged into my known

Throughout history, rulers have always been protective of their kingdoms. In hopes of always being
in control of their territory, they have developed special relationships with their subjects to ensure
their protection. In Anglo Saxon poetry, the relationship between the ruler and his thanes is known
as comitatus: the idea of fealty, brotherhood, and community. In the epic Beowulf, the community of
thanes centers around honor, friendship, and respect. The focus of the comitatus is Heorot, the
meadhall built by Hrothgar. These values emerge most clearly in the sharing of treasure, life in the
meadhall, and the importance of lineage to great kings and warriors.
The giving of gold and treasures after a victory in battle shows the value of celebration and
generosity within the Anglo Saxon warrior culture. After defeating Grendel, Hrothgar throws a

central meaning can be gathered from any one reading; that these singular interpretations support,
give credence and justify hegemonic forces or grand narratives in society. Defining the term modern
in his work The Postmodern Condition: A Report on Knowledge, Jean Francois Lyotard designate[s]

In 1974 Jack began his work on his idea drawing inspiration from a book called Tom Swift and his

The first lesion is the hairy leukoplakia. Its name comes from its white/gray hair like patch texture

disease mainly caused by a poor immune system or a person who is HIV/AIDS positive. The hairy
leukoplakia disease can be treated in a few weeks by taking antiviral medication, and antiretroviral
medication, which can help treat the infection as well as stop it from spreading. If the medication
