1) The teacher will greet the students.
2) The teacher will welcome the students. Then, she will hand out the following sheet

write some sentences about herself and hand out the following sheet.
4) Game time: the teacher will ask the students to form a circle and they will play “Hot
Potato”. The teacher will ask the students to pass a ball between them and say
words in English they remember.

Thursday 7
1) The teacher will greet the students
2) As a warm up the teacher will hand out the following sheet for the students to review
previous knowledge. The students will write “The Four Seasons”
3) The students will open their books on page 58. In activity number 1 the students will
listen and repeat the words rainy, snowy, sunny and cloudy. In activity number 2 the
students will listen to the different season and stick the correct sticker. Activity number
3, the students will act out dialogues. In activity number 4 the students will listen to a
song about the weather. The teacher will ask if there are any words they are not
familiar with.
4) The students will go to page 60, there they will complete paragraphs with the different
seasons.
5) The teacher will hand out the following sheet:

Tuesday 12
1) The teacher will greet the students.
2) The teacher will write on the board “What do you do during winter?” The students will
answer out loud and the teacher will explain the use of the present simple and copy
the structure on the board.
3) The students will open their books on page 61 and read a dialogue regarding what
people do in New York when it is winter time, then they will mark tick or cross on a
table. Speaking activity: the students will ask each other about the dialogue.
4) The teacher will ask the students if they know what postcards are. The students will
read two postcards on page 62 and match two countries to them. Then, the students
will ask each other questions regarding the information in the postcards.
5) The students will be given a white sheet in which they will write “My favourite season
is…” and draw it. Those drawings will be displayed on the wall.

Thursday 14
1) The teacher will greet the students.
2) The teacher will ask the students if they remember how the months are called in
English. The teacher will ask the students in which month each season start and
remind them that it is not the same in the entire world. The students will open their
books on page 63, practice pronunciation of the months, listen to audio 37 and write
the names of the months in order.
3) On page 65 the students will practice their reading skills. They will read a text (one
student will read out loud) and label the pictures that represent the actions they read
about; then they will answer questions about the text.
4) The students will open their folders and write:

1) The teacher will greet the students.
2) The students will open their books on page 66, this is a writing page. The teacher will
ask the students if they know what connectors are. The teacher will read the
explanation. In activity number 2 the students will connect sentences with ‘and’ and
‘but’.
3) On their folders the students will copy:

Thursday 21
1) The teacher will greet the students.
2) The students will open their books on page 70 and read a story, then they will order
the events.
3) The teacher will ask the students to open their books on page 72. The teacher will
ask them if they recognize the places, and to say out loud what they see in the
pictures. Then, the teacher will play track n°40. The teacher will ask the students to
listen carefully. The audio will be played twice, during the second time, the students
will be asked to number the pictures in order.
4) Students will work on page 73. For activity n°2 a drilling activity will be carried out.
The teacher will say the words that are on the box out loud. The students will repeat.
5) The students will assign the correct word to each picture. Afterwards, the listening
activity will be introduced. The teacher will ask “do you know what ___ means?”, she
will do this with every adjective. The teacher will explain the students that they will
listen to the audio twice.
6) Finally, the teacher will hand out sheets of paper that will include all the vocabulary
seen up to this point.
As homework, the students will complete pages 72 and 72 (workbook)
Tuesday 26
1) The teacher will greet the students.
2) To review what was seen the previous lesson the teacher will carry out the “Hot Potato”
game. The teacher will bring a balloon to the classroom, the students will be asked to
stand up in a circle, they will have to say one word from the vocabulary sheet they were
given the previous class and pass the balloon to a classmate, when the music stops,
the students that has the balloon will lose the game.
3) The students will be asked to open their books on page 74. The teacher will ask the
students to look at the pictures of the family on vacation. The students will be asked to
say where the family is. After this, the students will be told to go to page 125 and cut out
the stickers for activity n° 1. The students will be asked to name the objects they see.
The word “starfish” will be taught. Then, the listening activity will be carried out, pausing
the audio after each description.
4) As speaking is important, the questions that are on the page will be read out loud. Some
students will read the corresponding answers. Then, the class will be divided in pairs.
The students will take turns reading the questions or answering about the pictures. This
activity will be monitored by the teacher. Finally, the teacher will ask the questions to
the class and invite volunteers to answer them.
5) As a brain break the students will play “Whispering in a Line”. The class will be divided
in two teams. The students will be divided by rows, and each team will form a line facing
the front. The teacher will whisper the sentence “There are twenty animals in the zoo.”
to the first students of each row. On the teacher’s signal, each students has to go back
to their rows and whisper the sentence to the students that is behind his/her. The first
team that finishes the whispering and says the sentence correctly wins.
6) The students will be asked to go to page 75. They will be asked to recognize the places
that the pictures represent, and to describe what they are able to see. Then, they will
be asked to work in pair to complete activity n°2. Each pair will be asked to read the
descriptions of the pictures and choose the correct option.
7) Homework: the students will copy on the board the following:
Write sentences about the amusement park, the beach and the mountains. Use there
is, there are, there isn’t and there aren’t.
Example: There isn’t a ferris wheel at the beach.
