Mezzanines
Our standard mezzanine supply includes support columns, primary beams, secondary joists and a
steel deck that supports a 100 mm reinforced concrete slab (slab by others). The steel deck
thickness, profile and finish will be determined by BBS Engineering Department. The mezzanine
steel deck is intended to carry the weight of the slab during construction only. It is not designed to
carry the floor loads.
The concrete slabs of the mezzanines must be designed by a structural engineer. They must
contain steel reinforcement to support all the loads on the mezzanines. The deck panels, if
supplied by BBS are only for shuttering purposes.

Section 4: Steel Surface Finish

4.1 Primary Members
All primary members (i.e. Column, Mezzanine Beam and Joist) will be cleaned and painted with red
oxide primer.
4.2 Secondary Members
All secondary members (i.e. Purlin, Girts and Eave Strut) will be cold formed Galvanized/Galvalume.

Section 5: Standard supply items
The following are normally supplied unless mentioned otherwise:
1. Electro Galvanized anchor bolts for rigid frames, end wall posts & framed wall openings.
2. Eave gutters & downspouts on sidewalls or curved eaves at sidewalls with projection.
3. All necessary flashing & trims.
4. Foam closures.
5. Bead mastic for panel end-lap.
6. Galvanized high strength connection bolts.
7. Sheeting fasteners.

Section 6: Foundation and Anchorage

Foundation design by others shall be based on job site soil conditions, and shall be executed under
separate offer. Anchor bolts shall be supplied by BBS and set by the civil contractor in strict accordance
with BBS anchor bolt setting plan and supervision, unless otherwise specified.

Section 7: Warranty
For any material BBS provides 100% replacement warranty for first one (01) years, and a free service
for first two (02) years from the date of building hand over. If the materials are damaged by others in
that case BBS will not be liable.

Section 8: Proposal Validity

This proposal is valid for 15 days from the above noted date. Any extension of validity by BBS must be
in writing.

Section 9: Delivery Period

Our current Delivery Period is TBE weeks from the latest date of receipt and acceptance of the
following
 Signed contract (Any change must be noted and initialed by both parties)
 Down payment as agreed mode of payment
 Final change order
 Acceptable LC/Final accepted LC amendment

Section 10: Changes/Revisions

Any kind of changes in the contracted building will be entertained only before the completion of the
fabrication drawing. Any change and/or revision to the above stated scope of supply may lead to a
variation in the price and the delivery period. A change must not hold payment for work completed in
the original contract.

Section 13: Mode of Payment
Payment will be made by Irrevocable L/C at sight or Cash as per following Schedule.

Section 14: Exceptions / Deviations / Assumptions:

 Quoted price includes from all government impose taxes.
 Site painting price will be calculated on surface area of primary & secondary steel member. It
may vary depending on the actual amount of surface area.
 Price will be valid for entire project time from the date of signing of contract. If the project
being delayed by the client the price may be adjusted under the circumstances of unusual price
hike of raw materials.

Section 15: Terms and conditions
 Any kind of changes in the building should be confirmed by client before fabrication drawing.
 Tolerance of the weight variation is +/- 5%
 Client’s representative will receive all the materials delivered by BBS and BBS will not be
responsible if any item is missing or lost. For any lost item client has to pay BBS.
 Client has to ensure electricity supply and secured materials shed at site for proper and
continuous work.
 Any force measure like- Flood, Earth Quake, Rain Fall etc to be considered to follow the
stipulated time frame in the contract.
 If the job is rejected by client at any stage after signing the contract or issuing the work order,
client has to pay a compensation of amount 10% of contract value (excluding the price of
supplied materials).
