Site Engineer – KPIs

1. Pre-Execution Phase
Review and understand IFC (Issued for
Construction) drawings and specifications
Verify site readiness – survey
benchmarks, access roads, utilities
Assist in mobilization of manpower,
materials, and machinery
Participate in preparation of method
statements and work plans
Coordinate with planning team for
baseline schedule awareness
Review approved construction drawings
and ensure latest revisions are in use
2. Execution Phase
Execute civil works as per drawing,
specification, and BOQ
Supervise daily site activities and ensure
work is done as per schedule
Ensure line and level accuracy for
shuttering, reinforcement, and concreting
Check formwork, bar bending, and
concrete quality before pouring
Monitor subcontractor work and
coordinate labor force
Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection and
testing
Maintain site diary and daily progress
records
3. Quality Control & Safety
Ensure work is executed as per QAP/ITP
(Quality Assurance Plan / Inspection Test
Plan)
Ensure curing, finishing, and protection of
executed work
Implement safety procedures and ensure
PPE compliance
Conduct or attend toolbox talks and
safety briefings
Report unsafe acts or conditions to the
Safety Officer immediately
4. Material & Resource
Management
Track material consumption vs.
issue/estimate
Ensure material stacking, storage, and
handling as per specification
Raise material requisition (MRN/Indent) in
advance to avoid delays
Monitor usage of machinery, fuel, and
manpower efficiency
Check incoming materials for compliance
with quality standards
5. Coordination &
Communication
Liaise with clients, consultants, and
internal departments (QA/QC, Planning,
Procurement)
Attend coordination meetings and give
updates on progress and constraints
Raise RFI (Request for Information) if
drawing/specification conflicts arise
Coordinate for third-party tests (e.g., cube
tests, soil tests, etc.)
Coordinate for inspection and approval
from consultants before next activity
6. Documentation & Reporting
Submit daily progress reports with photos
and work status
Maintain checklist-based inspection
reports for each activity
Maintain record of approved drawings,
specifications, RFIs
Prepare quantity measurement sheets
(DPR/MRB)
Report delays, site issues, or NCRs to the
Project Manager/Construction Manager
7. Post-Execution
Assist in final measurement and
reconciliation
Support in preparing as-built drawings
Ensure site cleanup and handover
documentation
Participate in final inspection and punch
list closure
