The Academic Writing Module consists of two tasks: Task 1 requires describing or summarizing visual data, while Task 2 involves writing an essay in response to a prompt. Both tasks are formally assessed on criteria such as task achievement, coherence, lexical resource, and grammatical accuracy, with Task 2 carrying more weight in scoring. Responses must meet minimum word counts of 150 for Task 1 and 250 for Task 2, and are evaluated by certified IELTS examiners.
