Ivan Kupala (Ukraine)

Ivan Kupala is a traditional Ukrainian summer festival. People celebrate it on the night of July 6-7.
They light bonfires, jump over the fire, and wear flower wreaths. The festival is connected with water
and nature. People believe that fire and water have magical powers on this night.

La Tomatina (Spain)

La Tomatina is a fun festival held in the town of Buñol, Spain. Every August, people throw tomatoes
at each other! It is a big food fight, and everyone gets very messy. The festival started in 1945 and
has become famous all over the world.

Oktoberfest (Germany)

Oktoberfest is the largest beer festival in the world. It takes place in Munich, Germany, every year in
late September and early October. People wear traditional clothes like dirndl and lederhosen. They
enjoy music, dancing, and lots of delicious food and beer.

Mardi Gras (USA)

Mardi Gras is a colorful festival in New Orleans, Louisiana. It happens before the Christian season
of Lent. People celebrate with parades, masks, costumes, and jazz music. The festival is full of fun,
dancing, and special food like king cake.
