master and identify tools, equipment and preventive maintenance of farm tools and
equipment. The scope of this module permits it to be used in many different learning
situations. The language used recognizes the diverse vocabulary level of students.
The lessons are arranged to follow the standard sequence of the course. But the order
in which you read them can be changed to correspond with the textbook you are now
using.

manufacturer’s specification and instruction,

3. Conduct pre-operational check-up in line with the manufacturer’s manual,

4. Perform routine check-up and maintenance,
5. Clean tools and equipment after use in line with farm procedures,
6. Perform preventive maintenance by following the procedures in sharpening
and oiling farm tools and equipment; and

7. Store tools and equipment in designated areas in line with farm procedures.

What is It

Farm tools, implements, and equipment play very important role in agricultural crop
production. In order to do crop production operation successful, operator must have
a good working knowledge of the tools, implements and equipment.

Farm Implements
 These are accessories which are being pulled by working animals or mounted
to machineries (hand tractor, tractor) which are usually used in the preparation of
land. These are usually made of a special kind of metal.
