ESAB celebrates
120th anniversary
2024 marks ESAB’s 120th anniversary. Since its
inception in 1904 in Sweden, ESAB has become a
global leader in fabrication and gas control technology
with its groundbreaking products, workflow solutions and unique business
management system, ESAB Business Excellence (EBX). “This incredible milestone
would not be possible without the dedication of our associates around the world
and our relentless focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement, which
have been the cornerstones of our growth for more than a century,” said Shyam P.

expansion
Yaskawa Motoman announced completion of
its headquarters expansion in Miamisburg,
Ohio. The 185,000-sq.-ft. addition nearly
doubles the size of the company’s production space, optimizing its operational
capacity to meet the growing demand of the automation industry. The additional
manufacturing space will be utilized to engineer, develop, integrate and build
robotic systems, as well as providing additional space for the retrofit and rebuild of
previously deployed robots and systems. The expansion represents the first phase
of Yaskawa’s planned $200 million investment in the United States to support
its growth initiatives and its commitment to driving additional development and
production in the Americas.

Miller releases cobot
welding solution
Miller Electric Mfg. LLC added touch
sensing and through-the-arc seam tracking
features to the Copilot collaborative
robotic welding system, making welding
automation easier and more effective. Along with a headless power source
design and teach pendant carriage, the cobot provides a convenient user
interface that eliminates extra steps like continuously going to and from the
power supply and teach pendant. Instead, the user’s attention is focused on the
welding torch and cobot arm, making the cobot intuitive and natural to welders
of all skill levels. Copilot also features the new Auto Deltaweld as its welding
power source, which means its input power flexibility accommodates single-
and three-phase input.

TrueColor technology, welders will be able
see more of their work clearly, setting the
foundation for quality welding and productivity gains. To keep welders at ease
in their work, the helmet’s ratchet headgear is reinforced to minimize pressure
points and an integrated foam pad ensures a cushioned fit during extended use.
With this added support, welders can stay focused for longer periods, making a
