Interviewer: Good morning! Welcome to [Language School
Name]. Please, have a seat.
Candidate: Good morning! Thank you very much.
Interviewer: Could you tell me more about yourself?
Candidate: My name is Sofia, I was born in Ariquemes. I'm
twenty-three years old. I'm a sixth-year literature student at
FAM College and my favorite hobbies are dancing,
studying, and reading.
Interviewer: Nice to meet you, [Your Name]. Why do you
want to work as an English teacher?
Candidate: I want to teach English because I enjoy helping
people learn. I love the English language, and I want to
grow as a teacher.
Interviewer: That’s great to hear. Do you have any
teaching experience?
Candidate: I don’t have much experience yet, but I have
helped classmates, friends, or family members. I’m also
studying to improve my skills. And my mom is an English
teacher in CEEJAR,
she has thirty-five years of experience in the English
language
She was my teacher and still is my teacher. I never stop
learning English because there's always something new to
learn.
Interviewer: That’s okay. Everyone starts somewhere.
What levels do you feel most comfortable teaching?
Candidate: I feel more comfortable teaching beginners or
basic and
intermediar level students.
Interviewer: Good. What kind of activities would you use in
a beginner class?
Candidate:
I would use simple dialogues, flashcards, games, songs,
and videos. I like to use fun and visual materials. I also like
to teach grammar in text format, so the student sees that it's
not complicated.
Interviewer: Excellent! How would you motivate shy or
quiet students?
Candidate: I would speak slowly and be patient. I would
use friendly and fun activities, and I would always
encourage them with positive words.
Interviewer: Perfect. Do you prefer working with children,
teenagers, or adults?
Candidate: I can work with all ages, but I feel more
comfortable with [children / teenagers / adults].
