Quality Assurance Coordinator
Summary:
As a QA Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating the QA team by assisting in the
actual testing of software applications and ensuring that software products meet high standards
of quality and performance.
Requirements:
● Minimum 4 years of experience as a tester;
● Experience in team coordination;
● Advanced English writing and speaking skills;
● Advanced knowledge of browser devtools;
● Solid knowledge of web technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS;
● Solid knowledge of code versioning tools (Git / Gitlab);
● Solid knowledge of different databases;
● Good understanding of web application security techniques;
● Analytical thinking;
● Organized and detail-oriented person.
Nice to haves:
● Experience with web application penetration testing techniques;
● Good knowledge of a library for automated testing (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium);
● ISTQB certification.
Responsibilities:
Coordination and collaboration:
● Coordinates and manages QA team, ensuring that they are working effectively and
efficiently towards project objectives;
● Establishes policies, standards and strategies for the team together with the CTO;
● Identifies training needs and provides training to team members as necessary;
● Creates and updates the career path and the job descriptions for the QA team;
● Provides support and guidance to team members in carrying out day-to-day work tasks
and to achieve the established objectives in product development;
● Holds constant 1-on-1 meetings with those who are under his/her direct supervision;
● Manages conflicts that arise within the team;
● Manages the salaries of the team members according to salary scale and company
guidelines;
● Provides feedback and evaluates the performance of the team members;
● Collaborates effectively with the team leaders of the Software Development and DevOps
teams and ensures that the three teams collaborates efficiently;
● Collaborates effectively with the support team and manages the ticket board, ensuring
good communication and prompt responses to customer tickets;
● Collaborates effectively with other teams and departments;
● Works with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that software development
projects are aligned with the company's business goals and objectives;
● Communicates testing progress and results to stakeholders, including project managers,
development teams, and clients by preparing reports, presenting findings and
addressing any concerns or questions;
● Foresees the need to expand the team and proposes to the CTO the strategy for its
growth;
● Participates in the recruitment process for the QA team.
Quality assurance:
● Develops and implements test plans and strategies for software projects by identifying
testing objectives, designing test cases, and ensuring that testing is aligned with project
timelines;
● Oversees the execution of tests and ensures that all defects are properly documented
and communicated to the development team by identifying testing tools, conducting
exploratory testing and managing regression testing;
● Improves continuously the quality assurance proces by identifying areas for
improvement, implementing process changes and ensuring that the team is following
industry best practices;
● Maintains quality assurance documentation, including test cases, test plans and testing
results;
● Identifies potential risks to the software development process and implements measures
to mitigate these risks;
● Ensures that the QA team is aware of the security standards agreed upon by the team
and periodically verifies their compliance.
