RENEWAL FOR ALTAR SERVERS

(After the profession of faith, the rite below is included)

I. RECOGNITION OF THE CANDIDATES


Coordinator: May I request the candidates of sacred
renewal to please come forward.

Coordinator:Rev. Fr. Redimto, our spiritual director,before


the community of believers are the servers who wish to be
officially recognized in the ministry of altar servers.

Priest: My dear children of God, Do you know what service


and commitment means in the church? Will you give and
show your faithfulness to the church authorities? Are you
ready to commit yourselves again to this kind of service with
full responsibility?

Altar Servers: Yes, We Are.

II. OFFERING OF SELF


Priest: Father, All Powerful and Ever-Living God, You have
appointed your son to be the mediator of the new covenant.
Pour forth the gifts of your grace upon your chosen
ministers of your sacred Mysteries, so that by renewing their
commitment, They may distinguish themselves through their
integrity of Faith; and they may be conspicuous through
their observance of the Gospel precepts through Christ Our
Lord, Together with the Holy Spirit, Forever and Ever.
AMEN.

III. VOW AND COMMITMENT


(The candidates for renewal will recite the prayer)
Priest: Now you are All Ready to serve again at the various
Church Liturgies. Make your vow and commitment of
service before God and this community of believers.
(The Altar Server will now read the vow and commitments)

Priest: God Of Glory, Your Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, has


shown us that true worship comes from a humble and
contrite heart. Bless (+) Our brothers and Sisters who have
responded to the needs of our Parish and wish to commit
themselves to your service as humble servants of your altar.
Grant that their ministry may be fruitful and our worship
pleasing in your sight.

Altar Servers: AMEN.

Priest: The Offering of our Altar Servers has been accepted,


As a sign of our acceptance and support, Let us give them a
big round of Applause!
(The altar servers will now face the congregation)
