PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Im an experienced, qualified and Registered Nurse with the Nursing council of Kenya coupled
with over 5 years demonstrated expertise in high level care of patients gained from my
experience as a practicing nurse coupled with ICT competency, Good customer service skills and
proven analytical, and problem solving skills.
Currently working at Nightingale Medical center located at Kisumu, in medical and pediatric
ward. Am the nurse in charge of medical ward and pediatric ward. I Supervising and ensure
delivery of a professional and high standard of nursing care within my section while leading a
team of nurses and assistants in delivering quality care to the patients. I also Engage with doctors
and other care providers regarding patients’ plan of care and care solutions with emphasis on a
team-based problem-solving approach to provide unified care to our patients.
Furthermore, I participate actively in community outreach organized by hands of care
international where we reach out to the undeserved/less fortunate persons who can’t afford to
go to hospital. In our previous visit in West Pokot I was privileged to be part of a team that
treated and take care of over 500 people who required medical attention.
Previously, I worked at Inuka medical center in medical, surgical and pediatric ward. I acted as a
nurse in charge of medical- surgical ward for 2 years. During my time at Inuka Hospital, key for
me was the Provision of Nursing care and counselling. I also Observed patients’ vital signs,
reviewed and maintained patients records and reports from assistant nurse and where
appropriate escalate matters to the chief clinical officer for action.
In some instanced I Assisted our doctors while carrying out procedures e.g. taking blood
samples, fixing drips, giving medication
I have the ability to handle Urgent care and emergency care, Patient and family education and
good understanding/use technology to share patient and family education information, monitor
vital signs and maintain patient records.
Along the way i have created and continue to create network of professional connections at
different levels which is key in our day to day work delivery.

WORK EXPERIENCE
NIGHTINGALE HOSPITAL – June 2020 – to date
Currently working within the female medical / Pediatrics department at Nightingale hospital, I
oversee Supervision and ensure delivery of a professional and high standard of nursing care
within the section while leading a team of nurses towards Provision of Nursing care and
counselling services to alal our patients.
Key Responsibilities
Observe patients’ vital signs, review and maintain patients records and reports from
assistant
Engage with doctors and other care providers regarding patients’ plan of care and care
solutions with emphasis on a team-based problem-solving approach to provide unified
approach to patient care.
Ensuring proper and timely documentation, maintaining proper records, confidentiality,
and always handing over between shifts.
Integrated management of child illness
Preparing monthly/ weekly work schedules (ROTA) and supervising my section staff.
