Unit 1:

What is tachycardia ?
- Tachycardia is a case in the patient in a condition called rapid
heart. It happens
usually when the patient has just finished doing the exercise or
running. If the patient has a high level of heartbeat when rest
can be an early sign of a dangerous, worrying condition. The
normal resting heart rate for adults is between 60 and 90 times
per minute. In some situations, if the patient feels a
rapid heartbeat accompanied by difficulty breathing or
headache,…they need to go to a medical facility immediately.
What is hypertension?
- Hypertension or high blood pressure is a condition in which
the pressure of blood flow against the artery walls is increased.
It happens when the systolic is greater than or equal to 140
mmHg or the diastolic is greater than or equal to 90 mmHg.
Hypertension is a dangerous pathological sign that causes the
heart failure, the arteries, brain, eyes, and more chronic
disease
Unit 2:
What is bronchitis?
Bronchitis is an illness that causes inflammation in the airways
(bronchi) of the lungs. It makes breathing difficult and often
leads to coughing, mucus production, and chest discomfort.
The condition can be acute (short-term, often caused by
viruses) or chronic (long-term, usually due to smoking or
pollution). Common symptoms include cough, sore throat, and
wheezing. Rest, fluids, and sometimes medications help with
recovery.
What is hemoptysis?
- Hemoptysis is a case in which patient coughs with exertion.
The patient always
coughs up with bright red blood, blood clots, or accompanied
by mucus. It is very
dangerous if the patient has hemoptysis, they will feel some
basic symptoms for
example: itching or burning in the neck, chest pain,…They
should go to the medical facility if it worsens.
What is pneumonia?
- Pneumonia is a infection of the lung parenchyma including
inflammation of the alveoli, alveolar sacs, or alveolar ducts.
When the alveoli or the airway contain a lot of mucus,
secretions of the upper respiration will cause cough, difficult
breath and fever. There are many reasons that lead to
pneumonia for example: smoking, breath in too much carbon
monoxide, or viruses,…
Unit 3:
What is gigantism?
Gigantism is a condition that makes a person grow too tall
because of too much growth hormone. It happens in children
before their bones stop growing. The most common cause is a
tumor in the pituitary gland. People with gigantism may have
very large hands, feet, and facial features. Doctors treat it with
surgery, medicine, or radiation to stop extra growth.
What is hypoglycemia?
- Hypoglycemia is a condition that occurs the blood sugar is
low. Hypoglycemia
needs to be treated quickly to reduce serious complications
caused by hypoglycemia.There are some signs to recognize the
patient has hypoglycemia: tremors, sweating a lot, worry,
dizziness, rapid heartbeat,…If the patient has that symptom at
home, he or she should eat candy at quickly at possible to
balance the blood sugar level.
What is diabetes mellitus ?
- Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder, that has the
characteristic of increasing blood sugar levels in the body,
leading to hyperglycemia. There are some signs and symptoms
of diabetes: unusual thirst, frequent urination, weight loss,
extreme fatigue, and blurry vision,… If the patient realizes the
disease soon, so he or she needs to get to the hospital to do
some tests and cure it to reduce the percentage of diabetes
mellitus.
Unit 4:
What is STIs?
STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections) are infections that spread
through sexual contact. They are caused by bacteria, viruses,
or parasites. Common STIs include HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea,
and syphilis. Symptoms may include sores, pain, or unusual
discharge, but some people have no symptoms. Using
protection and getting tested can help prevent STIs.
What is mammogram?
- Mammogram is a technique using low – intensity X–ray
beams to shine into mammary tissue to capture images of the
mammary gland. Doing the mammogram has many benefits, it
helps the patient to detect abnormalities and tumors at an
early stage, even before the patient can touch or feel them. On
the other hand, it has limitsn in doing the mammogram, it can’t
determine whether small tumors are benign or malignant
What is cervical cancer?
- Cervical cancer is a malignant disease arising from the cells of
the cervix. It is caused almost entirely by human papillomavirus
(HPV), the most common sexually transmitted virus. There are
some early symptoms of cervical cancer first base: vagina
bleeding or bleeding after menopause, bleeding after sex, or
increased vagina discharge, sometimes with a foul odor.
