room.
2D. State true or false: There can exist a group of seven people in which each person knows exactly
three other persons.

3A. Let  : G1  G2 be a homomorphism with ker  x  G1 |  ( x)  e2  , where e2 is the

3C. Show that a (𝑝, 𝑞) graph 𝐺 is a tree if and only if 𝐺 is acyclic and 𝑝 = 𝑞 + 1.
3D. Let 𝐺 = {𝑎, 𝑏, 𝑐, 𝑑, 𝑒} be a set with a binary operation ∗ defined as follows:
𝑎 ∗ 𝑎 = 𝑏, 𝑎 ∗ 𝑏 = 𝑐, 𝑎 ∗ 𝑐 = 𝑑, 𝑎 ∗ 𝑑 = 𝑒, where 𝑒 is the identity element with respect to ∗.
