Installation
Drilling Rig will take position at the predetermined place and begin drilling
procedure.
Drilling Hole will be 60 – 90mmØ, where the drill hole is approximately
perpendicular to the surface.
Drilling will be a combination of Dry auger, Tricone-Rotary drill tools, Sunward
SWDQ138 Drilling Rig and Hammer.
For the elevated area,
During drilling, the hole will be continuously cleaned by air. When necessary, a short
Temporary Casing, will be installed on the Hole Collar to prevent collapse of the
topsoil
Upon removal of the Bit and Rods, and the hole collapses, it will be grouted and re-
drilled
Simultaneous with the Drilling Operation, the Anchor bolt will be installed with the
spacers, the Grouting pipes (ø20.0mm HDPE pipe), and Breathing pipes.
The grouting pipe will be installed along the length of the anchor secured with
Industrial Tape for easy extraction.
After drilling, the Anchor will be installed and the hole collar will be plugged with
Cement Mortar.

2.3.4. Grouting
After the rock anchor, along with the breather pipe and grouting pipe, is installed,
grouting will be carried out.
The anchors will be grouted using a pressure of 2.0 bars. Grouting will stop once
grout flows out of the breather pipe.

Once the grout has fully cured, bearing plates will be attached to the anchor and
secured with washers and nuts.
After the Rock Anchor are all installed, shotcrete will be applied as per Method
Statement for Shotcrete using Dry-Mix Method.
