JOB OPORTUNITY
JOB TITLE: Credit Union Manager
Bataas Cooperative Credit Union (BATSCCUL COOP BOD) is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented
individual to server as Manager, with the possibility of being confirmed in the position after a successful
probationary period.
PLACE OF WORK: Yaounde, Cameroon.
The Manager will be in charge of maintaining executive leadership and oversee the day-to-day the
operations of the Credit Union. He or she will implement the strategies developed by the Board and with
the aim of achieving its operational objectives and vision. He or she will ensure compliance with
regulations, and drive sustainable growth while promoting excellent customer service.
CORE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensures the efficient management of risks, quality, time, and cost while supervising the strategic
and day-to-day operations of the Credit Union’s core and supporting divisions.
• Adopts, oversees, and promptly analyzes credit union policies, operating procedures, and
processes as needed.
• Assures that every credit union unit runs successfully and efficiently in compliance with industry
norms, protocols, and guidelines.
• Manages the timely and effective development and delivery of monthly reports, financial
statements, and other information to the Board as needed.
• Maintains connections with important customers, partners, and suppliers.
• Ensures that all parties involved are on the same page and aware of strategic matters that affect
the credit union.
• Completes any additional tasks that may occasionally be allocated to him or her
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE.
• Three (3) to five ( 5) years' experience in a senior management position, within a Micro-Finance
or credit-based organization
• A Demonstrated competency in strategic planning and business development
• Keen understanding of the business' core and support functions including but not limited to
Credit, Money Services, Finance, Operations, HR, Management, and Information Technology (IT)
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operations metric
• Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, banking or a related field from an accredited
Higher institution is required.
