1. Sign-up for the trial for HIP and get your login.

2. Install:
a. Home Inspector Pro on the Mac or PC using the download link on the HIP
website:

b. Home Inspector Pro Graphics Library on the Mac or PC using the download link
on the HIP website:

c. Home Inspector Pro from the app or play store to your iPad or Android tablet.
3. Download the following files and put the file in the noted folder (Note that you need to
know how to get to the Home Inspector Pro directory. On Mac, it is found in
/Documents/Home Inspector Pro. On PC, it is found in C:/Program Files (x86)/Home
Inspector Pro
a. The template: “*.tpz” to /Home Inspector Pro/Data
b. The report introduction: “Report Introduction.pdf” to /Home Inspector Pro/Data
c. The stationary: “GFHI Stationary for HIP Small.pdf” to /Home Inspector Pro/Data
4. Login on to Home Inspector Pro on your desktop.
5. Open “*.tpz” by clicking the “Open Template” button.
6. Install the stationary, “GFHI Stationary for HIP Small.pdf” by choosing “Report Settings”
and then “Stationary”. Choose “browse” under “All Other Pages Stationary” only (do not
choose “Cover Page Stationary”. Choose the file “GFHI Stationary for HIP Small.pdf”. You
may have to search for the file by navigating to the /Home Inspector Pro/Data folder.
7. Install the report introduction, “Report Introduction.pdf” by choosing the “Insert PDF
Documents” button. Delete whatever is there on the left side. Just hit “Remove
Document”. Click on “add document” and navigate to “Report Introduction.pdf” in
the /Home Inspector Pro/Data directory. Add the document. Check the boxes “Save to
Template” and “Ignore Page Margins”. On the right side of the page, you’ll see the
Regular report layout and the pdf at the bottom of the list. Drag it up so it’s under
“Cover Page”.
8. Save the template
9. Click the “Mobile Sync” button. In mobile sync, choose “Upload Template” and point to
the “*.tpz” file.
10. Once uploaded, you are done with the desktop for a while. Grab your iPad/Android.
Start up the Home Inspector Pro App. Go to the “Sync” button and login at the top
(same login credentials as the desktop).
11. The “*.tpz” template will show up. Click “download”.
12. Once downloaded, go to the manage tab, type in the inspection name and choose
create.
13. From there, you can fill in the client information or jump over to do the inspection.
14. Have fun! There is tons of information on the video’s.
Note: The “*” is a wild card for whatever template you are installing.
