Meet Este, Danielle and Alana Haim. They're
sisters, and they've got a band called Haim!
The drummer in the band is their friend Dash
Hutton, but you never see him in photos.

Haim is an American pop rock band, and
both boys and girls like them. Don't call
Haim a girl band - they don't like it! All

Bekonscot, in the south of England, is the
‘oldest model town in the world. It's over 80
years old. I's also one of the biggest, because
it's over 8,000 m?, It shows you how life was
in the 1930s.
Bekonscot isn't just one village. I's six different
villages or towns with roads, rivers, hills and
lakes. There are train and bus stations, fishing
boats in the harbour and a little airport. All of
the trains, buses and boats move. There are
castles, churches and shops — and lots of little
people!
Mr Callingham was the first owner of
Bekonscot. His favourite hobby was models
and model trains. His wife wasn't happy to
have his big collection of models in the house.
It was her idea to put them outside in the
garden!
By 1929, Bekonscot was sometimes open to
visitors. It's near Windsor Castle, and Queen
Elizabeth II was a visitor to Bekonscot when
she was eight. Now the model town is open
every day from 10 am. until 5 pm., and there
are hundreds of visitors every day.

On 21 January 2012, Laura Dekker, a teenager
from the Netherlands, arrived at the Caribbean
island of Sint Maarten. She became the
youngest person to sail alone around the world.
She was at sea on her sailing boat Guppy for
more than seventeen months.
Laura was born on a boat in New Zealand.
Laura's father taught her about sailing from a
very young age. She had her first boat when
she was six, and she always wanted to sail and
see the world. She left the Netherlands on her
boat when she was only fourteen years old. She
said that she wanted to go back to school when
she returned! She was happy to celebrate her
sixteenth birthday in Australia in March 2011,
on her way back home.
She only stopped a few times. So, how did she
spend so much time alone? She said she was
always busy. She saw flying fish, dolphins,
whales and sharks. She played her guitar on
the deck when the weather was warm. And she
sometimes studied her school books. She never
felt lonely.
‘What did she like best on her journey?
She loved living on her boat, she loved
the sea, and she loved arriving
at different places. Now she
lives in New Zealand, and she
still lives on Guppy.
