the reflected ray moves along the path BC and strikes the mirror RS at C and
again reflects back along CD.

i) What is the relation between ∠ x and ∠ y .State reasons.

ii) How are lines BE and CF related with each other. Give reasons.

38. From the Bengaluru bus stand, Riddhima buys 2 tickets to Malleswaram and
3 tickets to Yeswantpur, the total cost is Rs 46 and Shreya buys 3 tickets to 1+1 + 2
Malleswaram and 5 tickets to Yeswantpur, the total cost is Rs 74.
Consider the fares from Bengaluru to Malleswaram and that to Yeswantpur
as Rs x and Rs y respectively and answer the following questions.

i) Write a linear equation using 2 variables to find the cost of tickets


of Riddhima.

ii) Write a linear equation using 2 variables to find the cost of tickets
of Shreya.

iii) What will be the cost per ticket to Malleswaram if 8 tickets to


Yeshwantpur are available for Rs 80?
