1. Prathama tithi - The effect (phala) of Prathama Tithi birth may include career difficulties or
family-related challenges.
2. Dwitiya tithi - challenges may often involve the father or paternal relatives. These may show up
as strained relationships, lack of support, or issues inherited from the father's side.
3. Tritiya Tithi -challenges may arise in family matters (kudumbam), ancestral lineage or heritage
(poorvigam), and government or authority-related issues (arasu sambandha vishayam).
4. Chaturthi Tithi – a person born under this tithi works hard for the family with responsibility and
care, but their efforts may go unrecognized, and at times they may face neglect or ill-treatment
from family members.
5. Panchami Tithi –A person born on Panchami Tithi may suffer the effects of ancestral karmas,
particularly if their ancestors have committed Panchamahapatakas (the five great sins as
described in dharmic texts). The native may face unexpected hardships or suffering in life that are
not due to their own actions, but are the result of ancestral transgressions.
The five Panchamahapatakas are:
a. Destroying or misusing the property of Lord Shiva, the king, or the community/people
b. Selfishly acquiring (abaharithal) family property — destroying or keeping blood-related
inheritance for one’s own use without properly dividing or sharing it
c. Selfishly acquiring (abaharithal) the property of those without children or heirs
d. Misleading the wife of a guru, betraying the guru, or breaking trust
e. Insulting or dishonoring women — including forcefully abusing or killing women for dowry and
other similar sins.
Maha-pataka refers to the extreme forms of these sins, bringing even greater karmic
consequences.
6. Shashti Tithi – A native born on Shashti Tithi may face obstructions in education and learning, as
well as difficulties related to the Kuladevata (family deity), often arising from forgotten or
disrupted ancestral worship. For female natives, issues such as miscarriage or delayed conception
may also occur.
7. Saptami Tithi – Natives born on Saptami Tithi may grow up away from one or both parents,
sometimes due to a parent’s hardships or even death, leading to emotional struggles. Yet, they
usually uphold respect and dignity throughout life.

making their path harder to predict. Such ancestral influences may create obstacles and challenges
in shaping their future direction.
