Indian Navy Inducted Eighth ACTCM Barge LSAM 22
 The eighth Ammunition Cum Torpedo Cum Missile (ACTCM) Barge, LSAM 22 (Yard 132). was
inducted at the Naval Dockyard, Mumbai on January 6, 2025, with Cmde Vinay Venkataram
presiding over the ceremony.
 Built by Suryadipta Projects Pvt. Ltd., the MSME shipyard has delivered seven ACTCM Barges
and is also constructing four Sullage Barges, promoting the Make in India initiative.
Aero India 2025: Asia's Largest Aero Show in Bengaluru
 The 15th Aero India, Asia's largest aero show, will be held at Air Force Station, Yelahanka,
Bengaluru, from February 10-14, 2025.
 Themed "The Runway to a Billion Opportunities," it features air displays, static exhibitions, and
showcases India's Make-in-India initiative.
 Global CEOs, domestic PSUs, private firms will participate in bilateral meetings to strengthen
defense & aerospace ties.
Defence Ministry Declared 2025 as 'Year of Reforms'
 MoD designated 2025 as the Year of Reforms to modernize the Armed Forces and enhance
combat readiness.
 Key focus areas include advancing defense manufacturing, infrastructure, procurement
processes, and technologies like Al, drones, and cyber warfare.
 Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized these reforms will ensure multi-domain integrated
operations & bolster global military capabilities.
18th lndia-NeRal 'Suryakiran' Military Exercise Commences
 The 18th 'Suryakiran' military exercise began in Rupandehi, Lumbini Province, focusing on jungle
warfare, counter-terrorism, peacekeeping, disaster relief, and environmental protection.
 Participants include Nepal's Mr. Jung Battalion and India's 11th Gorkha Rifles.
 Initiated in 2010, the exercise strengthens security, cultural ties, and professional collaboration.
