In coherence with the curricular model and the objectives presented for the career of
Software Engineering, the graduate will have the following professional competencies:
Knowledge and skills for the development of information systems, both in
productive organizations as service ones. This implies mastering systems theory,
analysis, software quality.
Ability to evaluate software using established standards.
Technological knowledge of organization and management of processes and entities that it
allow them to perform in all sectors of society.
Design and evaluation of projects, fundamentals in science, technology and society, and their
application to local and national development.
Theoretical and practical knowledge of the sciences and technologies of information and
communication.
Mastery of design models and methodologies and knowledge management strategies
in organizations and appropriate methods of information retrieval for these
systems.
Knowledge and skills to be a team leader, as well as to develop work in
software testing and quality assurance teams.
Extensive knowledge and skills to work as an analyst, designer, and maintainer of
applied software.
Skills to train human resources for the operation of information systems.
Knowledge of the interaction between technological development and the environment.
Ability to take initiative and assume risks.
Solidarity attitude towards social and community issues (service vocation).
Ability to manage and administer computing centers, departmental divisions,
departments of different organizations and public and/or private companies.
