With the aim of identifying the value-generating activities in the company and
strengthening them is necessary for Jabones y Detergentes S. de R.L. to determine which
are their primary activities, that is to say those that make up the production and
effective distribution of the product as well as those related to its sale and post-support
sale.

Likewise, it is essential to know the activities that are carried out with the purpose of

support activities of the organization.

Primary Activities:

They are the activities necessary to achieve value generation in processes.

developed within the framework of internal logistics, operations, external logistics,
marketing and after-sales service.

Internal Logistics:

Receipt and Storage of Raw Materials: The company Soaps and Detergents S.
de R.L. applies the necessary methodologies for the efficient management of the subjects.
primas when they are unloaded from the containers and the way in which
they should be stowed in a suitable environment and avoid their
contact with foreign elements that could alter their chemical characteristics.
It is important to maintain those considerations to avoid losses by concept.
of damaged raw materials and also avoid delays in the programs of
production.

Sampling for Quality Control of Raw Material: The company carries out the
techniques related to ensuring the good quality of the raw materials that are
they will be used in the manufacturing of soaps, one of those techniques being sampling
of acceptance, in which a random sample is selected from each of the
raw materials used in the manufacturing process and then that sample is taken
to the laboratory to analyze the conformity of its characteristics with what
needs. If the sample does not pass this test, then you must contact
the supplier or suppliers to notify them about the results of the sample analysis
from the raw material and request its replenishment as soon as possible. This technique
Sampling is extremely important because if materials that are not used...
they meet the necessary specifications, there is a risk of manufacturing a soap
of poor quality and customers can reject the product demanding their
replacement, which leads to an increase in the company's costs.

Raw Materials Inventory Control: The company always seeks to maintain

sufficient stock of raw materials to prevent delays in the programs of
production due to the non-existence of them. The time and the quantity of
replenishment will depend on production programs based on the
number of orders placed by customers, always considering to have a
safety mattress made of materials for any eventuality. Each material
the primer is handled differently according to the technical specifications of each
one, trying to prevent them from mixing with each other and always maintaining the

moisture and contaminant-free storage space.

Operations:

Production order planning: In this operation, all are considered

those elements necessary to efficiently and effectively fulfill the programs
daily production of the company. Such elements are aimed at planning
of the raw material requirements, labor needs by
workstation, maintenance of the machinery and the production goals of
soaps per week.

Preparation of machinery and equipment: This consists of conducting a review of

routine of the machinery before starting a production shift to verify if
is there any malfunction and apply corrective or preventive maintenance if it
consider necessary. After applying this inspection, the operation of the
machine (the mixer) and it is verified that its operation is optimal for carrying out
efficiently carry out the soap production processes.

Preparation and Mixing of the product components: This activity is one of the
more criticisms within the soap production process, since it is
it is essential to respect the exact quantities of materials to be mixed for
that there is a suitable chemical reaction that promotes quality in the processes
of extrusion, cutting, curing, and the quality of the final product.

Extrusion and Cutting: Once the mixing process is completed, it is now necessary to give
the appropriate shape for the soaps, so the result of the mixture of the
materials go to the extruder to give it a cylindrical shape (in the case of the product
Blue Field). After the extrusion process, it is necessary to cut the cylinders.
according to their sales size, avoiding irregular cuts in it and
waste to avoid incurring in reprocessing.

Ripening: This operation is vital within the manufacturing process of the

soaps, since this represents the longest and most decisive stage of the process due to
that if the necessary time to achieve the chemical reaction is not respected
suitable, it is possible that the soaps do not acquire the necessary characteristics when
moment to use them.

Packaging: Once the maturation process of the soaps is finished, it is the

moment to carry out the packing operation, which is done manually.
Soaps are not individually packaged, but are packaged in
packages of 24 units, which reduce costs for the company and for the
client for packaging per unit of soap.

External Logistics:

Finished Product Storage: Because the company carries out its

production based on customer orders, upon completing all operations
to manufacture the soaps, the customer is notified to pick up the products already
finished as soon as possible and thus maintain the inventory of
soap at a low level, which reduces the maintenance cost of
inventory and does not reduce the physical space available in the factory.

Sampling for quality control of Finished Product: Similarly as

acceptance sampling is carried out for raw materials, it is also done
a sampling to verify that the soaps meet the requirements of
quality established by the company. The sampling will be analyzed in the laboratory
and it will be determined if the batches of soap can be delivered to the customers, in case

corresponding to correct them (reprocess the product or replenish it from the
start).

Marketing and Sales:

Order Processing: This is an operation of vital importance.

within the business process of Soaps and Detergents S. de R.L., since this is
considered as a way of communicating with the customer to make the sale
about the soaps. In this activity, customers place an order and the company evaluates
the possibility of fulfilling such a request based on elements such as
time, characteristics of the soaps and quantity. Once all these have been analyzed
variables and determined the possibility of fulfilling the order, the company must
define the customer's payment method for order approval.

Credit Terms: Jabones y Detergentes S. de R.L. also offers to its

clients the possibility to apply for credit (if they request it), in order to
benefit them in the payment of the products. In this way, the company evaluates the
purchase history of your customers and determines if they can acquire a

Supply:

Purchase of Raw Materials, Tools, Machinery, and Equipment: This activity is

closely related to the operations involved in planning
the production orders, as it is essential to coordinate the moments,
the appropriate suppliers and the purchase quantities of raw materials for
to effectively fulfill the production programs. It is also important
maintain close communication with the maintenance activities of the
machinery, as it is necessary to supply this activity with tools and
spare parts to avoid any delays in machine operations.

chemical characteristics that soaps must have due to the different
terms of use that exist in the various places where it is distributed
