PRECIOUS
A OM HUNG

In the intermediate state that is this life, the present moment,


one does not recognize one's own mind and gets distracted by illusionary activities,
he does not remember the impermanence and death,
pursues only the goals of this life and seems tied down
for the suffering of birth, old age, illness, and death.
That when this illusory body suddenly encounters its illness
Finally, may I self-liberate all attachment to material and mental objects.

Oh, Maestro, from your compassion, bless me.


Bless me so that I may cut the illusory visions of the bard.
Bless me so that I can connect to the empty mother space and the son consciousness.

Then, in the intermediate state close to death,


Although one is surrounded by loved ones and relatives,
travel alone to the other dimension.
There is no way to prolong life for even a moment.
When the four elements of this magical body dissolve.

Oh, Master, from your compassion, bless me.


Bless me so that I may cut the illusory visions of the bard.
Bless me so that I can connect to the empty mother space and to the consciousness child.

When the energy of the earth dissolves in the water,


One feels that the body weakens and collapses.
Visions of smoky movement and mirages arise.
That when the yellow light, which belongs to oneself, suddenly appears,
May I recognize her as the divine body of Salwa Rangyung (The Self-Clarity)
originated.

Oh, Maestro, from your compassion, bless me.


Bless me so that I may cut the illusory visions of the bard.
Bless me so that I can connect to the empty mother space and the consciousness son.

When the energy of water dissolves in fire,


the body pales and one is thirsty, the tongue is dry,
and perceives visions of overflowing water.
That when the purity of water emerges like blue light
I may recognize her as the divine body of Gawa Dondrup (Joyful Achievement).
Oh, Maestro, from your compassion, bless me.

Bless me so that I can connect to the empty mother space and to the son consciousness.

When the energy of fire dissolves in the wind,


the body is cooling down and it is no longer possible to hold the channels.
Visions are experienced like fireflies.
That when the red light of the self arises,
I may recognize her as the divinity Chetak Ngomed (free of objects and divisions).

Oh, Maestro, from your compassion, bless me.

When the energy of the wind dissolves into consciousness,


the breath stops and the eyes roll upwards,
and one perceives visions like butter lamps that go out.
That when the green light comes up on its own,
I may recognize her as the virtuous divinity Gelha Garchun (the wealth of the ...

When consciousness dissolves into the basis of everything,


The organs of internal senses and their external objects cease.
Then you have a view like that of a cloudless sky.
When the clear light of the bard arises,
I may recognize her as Kunang Chabpa (the one who permeates all visions).

Oh, Maestro, from your compassion, bless me.


Bless me so that I may cut the illusory visions of the bard.
Bless me so that I can connect to the empty mother space and the son consciousness.

That when the six consciousnesses and their six objects dissolve in the heart
And darkness shall arise, and the blood rain settles in the lake of blood,
And let the great sound arise and let the great light arise,
I may recognize all my visions as illusion.
That I may realize myself in the innate alert consciousness that arises by itself.
Oh, Maestro, from your compassion, bless me.
Bless me so that I can cut the illusory visions of the bard.
Bless me so that I can connect to the empty mother space and the child consciousness.

When consciousness is left orphaned, lacking support,


And the vision of the fearsome lord of death from the other dimension arises,
And the deceptive visions of sound, light, and rays emerge,
Bless me so that I can free myself in the intermediate state.
Recognizing them as self-energy that arises by itself.

Oh, Maestro, from your compassion, bless me.

Bless me so that I can recognize all vision as illusion.


Bless me so that I can cut the possibility of being born in the lower realms.
Bless me so that I may recognize the unique essence of the three times.
Bless me so that I can attain the buddhahood of the three kayas.
Bless me so that I may attain the five wisdoms.
Bless me so that I can help countless sentient beings.
