Your A. PLAN
preparation • Guiding questions about a risk you took
1. What risk did you take? (play dangerous sports, explore a new place alone,
etc.)
2. When did you take the risk?
3. Where was it?
4. Why did you take the risk?

Student 1: Nguyễn Văn A

What risk did you take?
I decided to climb a small mountain near my city. It was the first time I tried
mountain climbing without a guide. I wanted to test my strength and be brave.

Student 2: Nguyễn Văn B

When & Where did you take the risk?
I took the risk last summer, during my school holiday. The place was called
Green Hill, about two hours from my home. I went there with two friends, but we
didn’t have an instructor.

Student 3
Why did you take the risk?
I wanted to challenge myself and try something new. I saw many videos about
mountain climbing, and they looked exciting. I also wanted to feel proud of
myself after doing something difficult.

Student 4
How did you feel? Why was it difficult?
I felt scared at first because the mountain was very steep. It was difficult because
I got tired quickly and had to be very careful. Sometimes, I thought about giving
up, but my friends helped me continue.

Student 5
What were the benefits of the risk?
I became more confident and prouder of myself. I learned how to stay calm and
focus when things are hard. I also became closer to my friends because we
helped each other.

NOTE: Students are required to peer-check each other's work in their

group.
