elements of a communication process
(Sender, Encoding, Channel, Decoding, Receiver, Feedback)
Sender: The sender is the individual or entity initiating the communication. They
are responsible for encoding the message, meaning they choose the right words,
tone, medium (e.g., email, face-to-face), and style to convey their ideas effectively.
A skilled sender ensures clarity and considers the recipient's perspective to
minimize misunderstandings.
Feedback: Feedback is the receiver's response to the message. It helps the
sender understand whether their message was interpreted as intended. Effective
feedback is timely, specific, and constructive. It ensures a two-way communication

Ans. Character Style: These styles apply to selected text within a paragraph
and affect font type, size, colour, boldness, italics, underline and other text
formatting.
Frame Styles: These styles are used to format frames, which are containers for
text, graphics, and other objects. Frame styles control the position, size
borders and other background of frames
13. What is text wrapping? (Page. 186)
Ans. Text wrapping refers to the automatic adjustment of text within a given
application, such as a text editor or a web page to ensure that it fits properly
without exceeding the boundaries. It allows the placement of images in
relation to text.
14. Explain “Keep Scale” from the cropping options available for images. (Page. 187)
Ans: It enables to maintain original scale of the image after cropping, so that
only size of the image changes. This option is selected by default.
15. Why do we export a template? (Page. 218)
Ans: Exporting a template in LibreOffice Writer is done for sharing a standard
document with other. Using this feature a template file can be stored in the
computer in a suitable location and then utilized when required.
16. What is sustainable process? (Page. 143)
Ans. A sustainable process is a way of doing things that meets out needs today
without harming the environment or depleting resources for future
generations.

20 What are the anchoring options available in LibreOffice Writer? (Page 187)
Ans.
To Page: The image remains in the same position in relation to the page margins.
It does not move after adding or deleting text or other images. This method is
useful when the image is not required to be visually associated with a particular
piece of text. It is often used while producing newsletters or other documents with
intensive layout or for placing logos on letterheads.
To Paragraph: The image is visually associated with a paragraph and moves
along the paragraph too. It may be placed in the margin or another location. This
method is an alternative to a table for placing icons besides paragraphs.
To character: The image is associated with a character but is not in the text
sequence. It moves with the paragraph but can be placed in the margin or another
location. This method is similar to anchoring to a paragraph but cannot be uses
with drawing objects.
As character: The image is placed in the document like any other character and
therefore, affects the height of the text line and the line break. The graphic moves
with the paragraph as we add or delete text before the paragraph. This method is
useful for keeping screenshots in sequence in a procedure or for adding a small
icon in sequence in a sentence.
21. What is Table of Content? Write the steps to create a TOC. (Page. 192)
A TOC can be created by following the given steps
1. Create a document. Use different paragraph style s for different heading
levels such as Heading 1 style for Chapter Title and the Heading 2 &
Heading 3 styles for chapter’s heading and subheadings.
