Keeping a goldfish as a pet is not as simple as it may
seem. Goldfish have special requirements. These steps
will help you look after your goldfish.

1. Your goldfish needs an aquarium with enough


clean water and a filtration system.
2. A consistent pH level and aeration will aid
in keeping a healthy environment for your
goldfish.
3. Goldfish like foraging at the bottom of
the tank so provide gravel, fish-friendly rocks,
and aquatic (water) plants.
4. Feed your goldfish proper goldfish food at least
once a day.
5. Feed them as much as they can eat in 3 - 5 minutes.
6. Clean your tank and filter regularly.
7. Change the water (not all at once) weekly.
8. If cared for properly, goldfish can live up to 20 years.
