Description of the project
RDIP is a board-mandated, global initiative to review and address the risks in the distribution of
investment products to retail investors across Citi.
Product Rating System. One of the high-impact changes associated with RDIP is consistent product
rating. The same product will carry the same rating across regions. All Standard and Non Standard products
will be assigned a rating on a scale of 1-6.
Data Acquisition. To mitigate the risk associated with the distribution of retail investment products, IPR
defined need for DA to provide consistent global surveillance of suitability mismatches and inconsistent
product ratings. Acquired data across the globe and pearl system will be loaded into IPR DW with the data
populated by “Rules Engine” will provide consistent global surveillance of suitability and inconsistent
product ratings.
