Optional Summer Reading Suggestions
Our goal:
Our goal is to have every student engage in reading over
the summer. We encourage each family to set their own
reading goals for the summer that fits their schedule but
allows for some reading each day.

Why are these lists optional?
While these lists may be a helpful place to start, they may
not adequately reflect every child’s interest. We encourage
each family to find the right fit for their children based on
their interests.
SORA
Meadowridge School Library continues to be apart of the ISABC
Sora Consortium. This gives Meadowridge students access to a
large library of ebooks and audiobooks on the Sora App. The Sora
app can be used on laptops, Apple and Android devices. Students
may borrow up to 3 books at a time. Sora works year round so
students can borrow books over the summer when they do not

have access to our library.

each summer. This club is open to all ages including adults. This
could be a fun summer activity to do as a family. Log your reading to
earn badges and win prizes.
As with the past few summers they have made their club available
online via the Beanstalk App so students can track their reading
online even if they are travelling.
