1. For any field work study you carried out as a group or individual
(a) i) State the topic of study. (2 marks)
ii) Outline the objectives of the study. (5 marks)
(b) Describe how you used the following methods in data collection in the field,
(i) Interviewing

(iii) Questionnaire (9 marks)
(c) Describe the advantages of each of the methods used in (b) above. (3 marks)
(d) What were your findings? (6 marks)
2. For any field work study you carried out on a flower farm.
(a) (i) State the topic of study. (2 marks)
(ii) Outline the objectives of the study. (5 marks)
(b) Draw an annotated sketch map of the area of study and on it mark and name
(i) Physical features
(ii) Land use types
(iii) Position of the flower farm
(c) Explain the impact of the flower farm on the environment of the surrounding
areas. (6 marks)
(d) Outline the challenges faced by the people working on the flower farm.

3. Examine the causes and effects of soil erosion in Uganda. (25 marks)
4. Examine the causes and effects of rural urban migration in Uganda. (25 marks)
5. (a) Distinguish between the intensive banana coffee system and the annual
cropping and cattle northern farming systems. (10 marks)
(b) Explain the measures being taken to modernise the farming systems named
in (a) above. (15 marks)
