Scene 1 – The Confrontation
(Two chairs center stage. Ukraine and Russia face each other. Narrator at the side. Soldiers
can stand nearby for effect.)
Narrator:
In the year 2022, the world trembled.
Nations clashed, leaders fought for power,
and whispers of a nuclear war darkened the skies.
Ukraine: (firm)
Why are you invading our land? Stand down, or this will result in war!
Russia: (cold)
You were once part of Russia, and you will be part of Russia once again.
Ukraine: (raising the independence paper)
We fought for our freedom, and we earned it.
Here—this document is proof of our independence.
Russia: (snatching and tearing it)
Once a Russian state… always a Russian state!
Ukraine: (angrily)
Then you leave us no choice. This… is war.
(Drums, stomps, or sound effects of explosions. Soldiers march. Lights flicker as if bombs
are falling. Sirens. Then a blinding flash to represent a nuclear strike.)
---
Scene 2 – The Nuclear Attack
(All freeze. A loud blast sound. Lights go dark, then red/orange. Smoke if possible.)
Narrator:
And then… the unthinkable happened.
Russia crossed a line it was never meant to cross—
Nuclear fire rained down, and silence followed.
---
Scene 3 – Mother Earth Speaks
(Mother Earth enters, wearing green/brown or holding a globe/cloth. She speaks slowly,
poetically.)
Mother Earth:
I was once a cradle of life… fields of gold, rivers of silver, skies of blue.
Children played in my arms, and villages thrived on my breath.
But now—
My rivers run black,
My skies burn red,
My soil bleeds with poison.
Where I gave life… I now carry only death.
---
Scene 4 – The Villages Speak
(Villager 1 stumbles forward, coughing, holding chest.)
Villager 1:
I was a farmer… I worked in the fields…
But radiation turned me into a slave of death!
(Villager 2 kneels, scooping soil into hands, weeping.)
Villager 2:
This soil—once it gave us bread.
Now… it only grows poison.
(Both collapse to their knees. Silence for a moment.)
---
Scene 5 – The Ending
Narrator: (solemn)
Nuclear war does not end battles.
It ends futures.
It ends generations.
It ends life itself.
(All characters come forward together, facing the audience. Mother Earth at the center.)
All Together (in unison):
“Protect the Earth. Reject nuclear war.”
(Lights fade. Curtain closes.)
