2. When Do We Use Future Simple?
(A) Instant decisions (deciding now)
I’m hungry. I’ll make a sandwich.
Don’t worry, I’ll help you.
(B) Predictions about the future
It will rain tomorrow.
I think he will win the game.
(C) Promises / offers / threats
I’ll always love you.
I’ll call you tonight.
I’ll tell your teacher if you don’t stop.
(D) Future facts & certainties
The sun will rise at 6 a.m.
She will be 20 next year.
3. Signal Words
These often go with Future Simple:

next (week, month, year, summer, etc.)

4. Future Simple vs. “Be going to”
Both can talk about the future, but they’re different:
Will = decision at the moment, prediction, promise.
o I’m thirsty. I’ll get some water.
o I think it will snow.
Be going to = plan/intention made before the moment, or something certain.
o I’m going to visit my friend next weekend. (planned)
o Look at those clouds! It’s going to rain. (certain, visible)
