I. Project Description
Project Title: Project RENEW (Re-purposing Eco-burdens,
Nurturing Everything Wisely)
Type of Project: Environment
Project Proponents: Verde (Group 4, 11-AMETHYST)
Number of Beneficiaries: At least 1,700 (All Students and Staff of GNHS)
Location of Beneficiaries: Gadu National High School
Date of Implementation: September 22- October 17, 2025
Area of Project Implementation: Gadu National High School
Budget Requirement: ₱3,550
II. Project Background:
This project is proposed in response to the escalating issue of improperly managed waste observed within the
Gadu National High School campus, which not only detracts from the aesthetic appeal of the school environment but
also poses potential ecological risks. First, there’s a lot of mixed-up trash piling up around the school. This makes areas
dirty and could even be bad for people’s health. Second, the way we currently handle waste isn’t good enough. Trash
cans often overflow, and valuable materials that could be recycled aren’t being managed properly. Finally, the school
doesn’t have a clear, organized plan for recycling. This makes it hard for us to lessen our impact on the environment
and be more sustainable. Addressing these issues through this project will foster a cleaner, healthier, and more
sustainable school environment, while also installing lifelong habits of environmental stewardship among the school
community.
III. Project Objectives
Educate on Environment: Teach students and staff about reducing, reusing, and recycling
Foster Innovation and Creativity: Encourage students to think creatively and develop innovative solutions for
environmental challenges
Sort Waste for Value: set up collection points to separate plastics, paper, and other recyclables for reuse
Enhance School’s Environment: Create a cleaner, more attractive, and eco-friendly learning environment for all
Lower Environmental Harm: Reduce the amount of trash which can cause harm in human’s health

IV. Desired Impact and Outcome of the Project:
With the implementation of Project RENEW at Gadu National High School, it is expected to firstly, reduce
the amount of waste by creatively repurposing materials inside the school premises. Secondly, it will encourage students
to come up with creative ways to transform trash into new products. Thirdly, it will teach everyone to value and reuse
materials, so we don’t waste resources and harm the environment. And lastly, it will transform waste into visually
appealing decorations and functional items, enhancing the school’s aesthetic, and create a cleaner and eco-friendly
environment.
V. Risk Management Plan
“Risk” refers to any potential problem that could negatively affect the project’s success and safety. Because
these potential risks can have a significant impact, it is important to identify them and outline strategies to minimize
their effects.
Possible risk:
• Low Participation: Lack of interest from students or the community can limit success
• Injuries: Handling waste can lead to cuts or exposure to harmful substances
• Budget Issues: Not enough budget for other materials needed for waste transformation
Mitigation Strategies:
• Low participation: Conduct educational campaigns to raise awareness about the environmental and community
benefits of Project RENEW. We can use the social media platform to engage other people to be part of the
project.
• Injuries: Train students and staff on proper waste handling procedures and make use of safety equipment.
• Budget Issues: We can sell some of our trash transformed product to allocate budget for materials needed or ask
for a donation or sponsors to provide.
