Submission: There should be one submission per group. All group members will score equal marks.
One member of the group should submit the group assignment online through VLE.
Objective of the assignment
The assignment seeks to enhance the student’s understanding of the composition of a company’s
annual report and the information it conveys. The exercise should enable the student to understand
various disclosures made in the financial statements. Preparation of the assignment should further
allow students to demonstrate knowledge acquired during the first semester of this study unit

Structure of report
The report should have the following structure:
• Introduction
• Background
o Background to company
o Background to the industry/market
• Results over the last 3 years including:
o Analysis and evaluation of the trading performance
o Analysis of other results
o Financial ratios and other key performance indicators
o Key events/ achievements underlying performance
• Share price history and analysis
• Present (or latest) financial position of the company
• Conclusion
