Abstract
Water treatment is one of the most essential processes in ensuring safe and sustainable access to
clean water. One of the most important procedures for guaranteeing sustainable and safe access to
clean water is water treatment. Understanding the significance of water treatment, the different
phases involved, and the important physicochemical parameters used in water quality testing are
the main goals of this project. Real-world research and useful applications seen in places like Sumer
Nagar, Sanganer, and RIICO Industrial Zone served as the inspiration for the data and process flow.
This paper highlights contemporary purification systems and their effects on day-to-day living,
drawing from the International Journal for Multidisciplinary Research (IJFMR, 2023) and firsthand
observations.
Introduction
Water is essential for all forms of life. All life depends on water. Clean water sources are becoming
more and more scarce due to pollution and population growth. Water treatment is therefore
essential to ensuring public health and safe drinking water.
Sources of Water
Water can come from various natural sources, including rivers, lakes, ponds (surface water),
underground wells, and boreholes (groundwater), as well as rainwater.A variety of natural sources,
such as surface water from rivers, lakes, and ponds, groundwater from boreholes and subterranean
wells, and rainfall, can provide water. The amount of impurities varies by source.
Objectives of Water Treatment
1. To remove suspended and dissolved impurities.
2. To kill harmful microorganisms.
3. To make water safe, odorless, and suitable for drinking.
Literature Review
According to research from IJFMR (2023), physicochemical parameters such as pH, Electrical
Conductivity, Total Hardness, and Dissolved Oxygen play a vital role in determining water quality.
Excessive industrial and agricultural waste contributes to contamination. Studies from WHO and
CPCB also emphasize the need for regular monitoring to ensure safe water standards.
Methodology
The following experimental setup and procedures were used to study water treatment and
purification processes.
1. Sample Collection: Water samples were collected from Sumer Nagar, Sanganer, and RIICO
Industrial Area.
2. Analysis Parameters: pH, conductivity, hardness (EDTA method), and concentration tests.
3. Instruments Used: pH meter, conductivity meter, EDTA titration setup, and turbidity meter.

Results and Graphs
Below is a graphical representation of the measured physicochemical parameters for water samples
collected from Sumer Nagar, Sanganer, and RIICO.
Water treatment is not merely a technical process—it’s a responsibility towards the environment
and human health. Water treatment is a duty to the environment and public health, not just a
technical procedure. Water from Sumer Nagar, Sanganer, and RIICO can be tested and purified to
make sure it satisfies safety regulations. Additionally, this project shows how contemporary
methods of water purification, such as filtration, disinfection, and sedimentation, guarantee the
sustainability of clean water. Water treatment is a commitment to public health and environmental
well-being, not just a scientific procedure. The project shows how treated water from different
regions can be made safe for use in homes and businesses through methodical purification and
ongoing testing. According to the study, long-term water quality and resource conservation depend
heavily on sustainable treatment methods.
