Chase Your Dreams

Hi teens! Most you have big dreams and aspirations. You want to change the world,
make a difference, or become somebody famous. While some adults may try to
discourage
you, telling you that your dreams are unrealistic or unattainable, it’s important for you
5 to
chase your dreams. There are several reasons why you should pursue your dreams, even
if they seem impossible.
First, it’s essential to have something to strive for in life. Dreams give you something
to work towards and a reason to keep going when things get tough.
10 Second, chasing dreams can help you develop important life skills. Pursuing your
dreams requires you to set goals, stay focused, and persevere through setbacks. These
are
skills that will be useful in any area of your life, whether you achieve your dream or not.
Third, even if you don’t achieve your specific dream, the process of chasing it can
15 lead to other opportunities and success. You may meet new people, learn new skills, and
discover new passions along the way.
You should be encouraged to have your own interests and dreams
because those of you who believe your future is bright are more
likely to avoid risky behaviour. Your creativity will increase if you
20 are encouraged to live in the moment and to express yourselves. Your
parents’ dreams of success, fame, or wealth cannot be imposed on you.
When they push their own wishes on you, it is very likely that you
will rebel or become apathetic. It is fine that they tell you about the
hard work ahead of you in pursuing your dreams, but they should
25 always remember to instill faith in you that you will succeed.
It’s fantastic to have a dream, but it won’t happen unless you
have specific goals in mind that outline how you’ll achieve it.
Make a detailed list of your dream, and then break it down
into smaller goals with deadlines. Set fun, attainable goals
and include specific measures to accomplish them.
